Will you buy the new slimmer X-Box

Yes... eventually.

My elite 360 has about 1 1/2 years left of RROD warranty as far as I know, so I'll keep it running as long as possible. But when that sucker dies I'll go out and buy one of these, which will hopefully be $200 or around that by then and have any kinks worked out (if there is any). The only sad part is I went online to download all the original xbox DLC to my hard drive which I won't be able to transfer :(

It's just that simple.

I'm going to wait till I see what bundles are announced at crimbo. I'd rather shell out £300-350 on a new 360 with Kinect and a couple og games, than £200 on a 360 £100 on Kinect £100-150 on games.

I think should have added ''only if my current 360 needs replacement'' to the poll, that would have given a clearer picture. Now i needed to vote no.

Just one question though, does anybody know if you can use the current 360 hard drives on the new model? I didn't see any connectors or way's to connect one...

No you can't use an existing hard drive on the new model. It's hard drive is internal though it can be ejected and switched with another slim 360!

Wow..given the amount of non-xbox fans on this site, the Yes vs. No ratio is VERY high.  I'll get a new 360 when Kinect is launched in a bundle and sell my old MW2 360 in the process...or maybe give it to my nephews as a gift.

I'll definitely pick one up eventually especially since my 360 has been on the fritz for quite a while now (Disc reading/disc tray problems) and i'm out of harddrive space on my 120GB harddrive.

Little hard to find here as they were sold out a lot of places but a few calls around town secured one for me.  It's in my truck waiting to be opened when I get home...

To be fair though I don't have a ton of time to play any of my systems, so I feel like I have to spend money on my hobby, just so I feel like I'm still a "gamer".

I will if i can find someone to buy my old 360,  I really like the new design and it would blend in with all the other stuff stuff in my tv stand

The by far most interesting Kinect game was shown at the Ubisoft conference: Child of Eden.

If CoE was exclusive for 360, I'd most probably buy a 360/Kinect combo just for this game.

You can use a transfer cable to switch over your old data onto the new harddrive. The Slim is preinstalled with the transfer software.

While I am at it...yes I will be getting the new Xbox 360 Slim model. With the deals going around at places like Gamestop for current owners wanting to upgrade I am definitely upgrading soon. I originally was looking at waiting until there was a bundle with Kinect but these deals are too good to pass up.

Check my new thread on Gamestops current deal if you want to know more...!

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
