I would hope Sony fanboys would NOT buy the Playstation Plus. I mean, all they did was mock XBL Gold. It's so funny how the tables have turned.

 

For the record, I never payed $50 a year. I got it on Amazon.com for the specials... I think it was $34.00 for 12 months?

i think with the new FIRMWARE 3.40 this JUNE 21

when you try PS PLUS then the 3 months trial will start

You seem to be so concerned how these sony fanboys that you hate like to spend their money, why do you care? it's not even your money their spending infact why are you even here? you don't even own a damn ps3 for god sakes the question is obviously for ppl who owns PS3, how does this question concern you? how bout go back to MS forums instead and tell them xbox fanboys to QUIT buying XBL gold and worry not for PS3 ppl since they will still be able to play online for free PSN plus or not.

OT: Not getting it Im fine with PSN free already.

the PSN is already free

XBOX LIVE wasn't

PLAYSTATION PLUS didn't make PSN like XBL all the features remained free

they just added certain features that XBL didn't have and aren't required fro free gaming

you can play first few hours of full game just by paying the fee and then pay for that game to continue which is not what XBL had

 

and for the record like XBL fee's PSN plus fee's will also get discounted,it is just what companies officially state the price as.

do you expect SONY to go and announce PSN PLUS as $50 and then say but you can get it discounted?...........lol

Depends.  The discounts on the PSN store and free content may make me save money overall by getting it, depending on what is discounted or offered. 

The main feature I want is cloud storage for my saves, and from what I understand that is in the works, so if I didn't get it immediately I'd get it when they announce that feature.  That's the only feature I'd actually be willing to pay extra for.

Edit:

Oh yeah, priority for beta access is also cool.  I'd probably be willing to fork over a couple of bucks for that too.

1. Given the free content and discounts offered by the service, it's possible guys like me would actually save money overall by getting this rather than pay regular price for goods on the store.  Why the hell would we not get it if that applies to us?

2. As for the bolded, there was really no reason to go there.  You can express an opinion without getting all confrontational.
