Forums - Nintendo - Where's Donkey Kong/SmashBros 3DS?

I noticed something during Nintendo's 3DS promo. You know the one where Iwata , Miyamoto and Reggie all get sucked into the 3DS. At the end of the promo you will clearly see an R-wing (StarFox 64) a banana and Red shell  from (Mario Kart) the MasterSword and shield from (LOZ:OOT) the coins from (PaperMario) Arrows from Kid Icarus. And you see a ton of Donkey Kong Barrels. You'll also note that the Maxim Tomato from the SmashBros series is also in the promo.

So since we have seen every other item in the promo hint at a real game. Doesn't this promo also hint at Donkey Kong and SmashBros? If so where are they has any developers dropped additional hints. I am positive that Nintendo threw in these minute hints to get us all riled up.

So what do you think where is the Kong and SmashBros? I personally think Nintendo with held Donkey Kong due to Countries unvieling I bet we'll see DK at next E3. SmashBros may have also been too big to announce and Nintendo may have feared that it would over shadow the other great games.

What do you think are these games coming or is Nintendo just toying with us?

See the hints for yourself

I'd like to think that the Maxim Tomato nods at Kirby rather than Super Smash Bros. Regarding Donkey Kong though, I would love to see the Donkey Kong Land series of handheld platformers starring Donkey Kong make a bold return. Those were very good games if i recall.

Am i the only one who thinks a handheld Smash is the worst idea ever though? Or is this just because i play the game seriously and competitively?

How technical is your game?

Smash Bros Brawl 3DS...............A DREAM COME TRUE!

i thought smash bros for the ds would be announced at this e3, i guess they are holding it for later for the 3ds. i was a little disappointed that nothing was mentioned about pokemon b/w.

Give it time I mean they did just release a crap load of info on its upcoming games. It is overload as is.

Haven't you had ENOUGH announcements?

I mean, for god's sake, they can only make so many games.

Do you really expect Nintendo to have each and every single one of their franchises in production for the DS3 as we speak?

You're quite the realistic guy. ¬_¬

Nintendo holds games for the future -- "The fans" yell: Where are all the game franchises?

Nintendo releases all the games at once -- "The fans" yell: What is in the pipeline?

I imagine all the major franchises/characters that have been on portables will eventually show up. ... As for Smash Bros., that one I am not so sure about.

ok ok, we get it. You want to see more. Yes Nintendo probably has a lot more. However a good presentation isn't about stuffing your face with as much different flavors as possible. It's about delivering the best experience as possible to achieve the desired goal. There goal was to clearly stay on top of the WM with Zelda, but more importantly the delivering the focus on the 3ds. Nintendo did a fantastic job of keeping the presentation focused. Yes they likely kept a slew of games from us, possibly 3DSBrawl. But presenting 3D Brawl would have taken valuable time with little impact in regards to the effectiveness of the presentation. That's why Icarus and DK had some of the longer game showings.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Joel, stop. You are getting RIDICULOUSLY irritating by spamming all of these threads. Seriously. We get it, you aren't satisfied and want more. Now stop making more threads.
