I'll be honest here...
I haven't turned on the Wii for over 1 and a half now. No games on the Wii since Brawl has captured my attention and basically I love the games for PS3 more than Wii.
But after watching snippets of the MS and Nintendo Conference while watching the Sony Conference Live, I decided that soon it's time to turn it back on.
If I was truly into Motion Controls, I would've been hyped for Move and Kinect ever since their announcements regardless of what people claimed as "Wii Rip off" and "EyeToy 2.0". But I'm not. Not a big fan of that stuff. That's why I've been doubting both Move and Kinect for the long time and waited for E3 for Sony and MS to truly prove to me that I should be excited about their motion controls and they failed to impress me.
Kinect Sports? Kinect Adventures? Kinectimals? Are you kidding me? Star Wars game? pfft there's another one called The Old Republic that I'm far more exicted about. There's also noticable lag from the live demos as well as trailers. They aren't major big but they're noticable.
Sports Champions, Sorcery, etc all failed to impress. SOCOM 4, GT5, Killzone 3 and future LBP Move Support? There's a thing called the Dualshock Controller.
Sure most of the games mentioned above are just a bunch of Launch titles and it's only the beginning, but my point is that none of them interest me.
So motion control wise, Wii Sports is enough to satisfy my Sports Motion Game and games like Epic Mickey, The Last Story, Metroid Other M, Donkey Kong Country Returns will all incoporate the Wii Mote through Motion Controls one way or the other so I really don't need Move or Kinect.
And please note that I'm not implying that Kinect and Move will flop or fail. Kinect has the voice recognition, Move has the Accuracy and both have the Minority Report style interface but my point is that their software were unoriginal and lacking which failed to impress me and I shall not get them.
Is anyone else not gonna get either?
