No I don't believe this was an attack on Sony. The 3DS must have been in development for many years now and 3D on PS3 was only announced last E3. That would give Nintendo a single year to produce a 3D console and get all that third party support. But I think Nintendo's third party support proves that dev kits have been availible for ages and that the console had to have been in development for several years.
Will the 3DS do a dent to Sony's 3D efforts? How much of a dent could they do, their is no market for 3D games how many people own 3D TV's?
