I think you need to look at these videos from 1up and destructoid as they look and play the demo in person. Everything in the media breifing is being shown here and done by the press, plus more.

nobody is saying the game doesn't actually work. We are talking about the on-stage body(lip)-syncing.

Yes enough of the bs propaganda. I watched the videos, its works, and Kinect is amazing. I will be buying it. Expect to see some core games coming out in 2011. Turn 10 has only had 6 months with this tech. Give it a little time and Kinect is going to impress.

yeah it seems pretty clear that the Sunday night show was mostly pre-recorded and acted out.  But I can see why, considering the next day hands on showing of Kinect showed the big lag problem associated with it.

You have been proven wrong in every single comment you have. Just go back to your waggle and last gen tech Wii and leave the future tech to people who want to experience it.

doubt it. They showed impressive stuff and all of it seemed to be real, live on stage. Why should Forza 3 be an exception?

Actually, we really don't know if any of it was real. It could have all been a demo video. There were several parts where things were "predicted" or mismatched. For example, before the track and field race, the girl warming up was moving her arms around and natal was not following them, but that could be just an animated opening. The fitness girl was definitely spot on though.

Other stuff was out of sync too, like kinectimals.

I am glad that someone else noticed that the girl's hands did not match the on-screen motion in the Kinect Animals demo.

Everyone was so interested in how "sweet" it was to pet a wild animal, the did not notice that an on-screen hand went under the animal's chin while the girl's hands were above the chin.

Future tech...like this ?

I'd rather stick to my standard controller than look weird..you experience it all you want.

but the so called "last gen" motion controller, move has more 3rd party support and a lot of hardcore games support it.

still waiting to be proven wrong on any post. All I've gotten is people insisting that his hand is moving in one direction, when it moves in 2 directions, left, then right. People seem to be skipping the movement of his hand on his thigh moving left before he lifts it up to the right. It seems to be a misunderstanding but everything that was shown on stage was pre-recorded, and there are numerous threads and gifs showing just that. MS will even admit it soon.

Would you like your hands to be able to rip through the animals body?  Otherwise, the hands must be "wrapped" around the animal's body.  The collision detection algorithms decides where best to place the hand on the animal's body.

Sure, the video was probably pre-recorded.  Does it matter when the tech works as demonstrated?
