I think the cirque du soleil fiasco has left a bad taste in the media's mouth. MS had to work extra hard to make up for last night and now an OK/good conference is being panned extra hard.
Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)
Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!
I'm a hardcore gamer and they showed plenty only thing i wanted was bit more new announcements that were core games. Either way I enjoyed it and am anxious to try out Kinect myself now after coming away farely impressed by it. What did you expect I mean Kinect is coming out this year they needed to show it off more and show some more games for it etc. just a reminder to you all they also aired this in Time Square in NYC so their wanted casual people to stop and say "wow that looks preety cool". We weren't the only wwho saw this if you in NYC at least.
How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...
Xbox 360 wants to Kinect & PS3 wants to Move! Why are both systems having such relationship problems? The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

I don't understand all the complaining. People's expectations are just getting to high. Most people knew that Natal, now known as Kinnect, was going to be Microsoft's main foucs this year...It was going to be part of their relaunch of the 360 this fall. A good portion of their conference was dedicated to it. They finally announced the often rumored redesigned console to go with Kinnect (Very sharp looking I might add). Between the two of them it's pretty exciting hardware news for the 360.
The games for Kinnect are exactly what were expected, casual and party games with a few core games thrown in. Again, what were people expecting. Kinnect is being released for Microsoft to gain a foothold in the casual market, of course the majority of the games are going to be casual in nature. Look at which games are selling on the Wii. It's not No More Heros, Madworld or Dead Space. Sometimes it's better not to reinvent the wheel. Just look at the Sony Move.
In the Next 12 months MGS is releasing Crackdown 2, Halo Reach, Fable 3 and Gears 3. Three of the biggest series on the Xbox are all getting sequels. Plus there is the abundance of high quality 3rd party games coming out in the next 12 months as well. I've done my best to keep up with all the great games released this year and can't manage to do it, yet people want more???
Then you have ESPN on Live and the dash board update that will accompany Kinnect. It looks like Microsoft covered all it's bases pretty well to me.
Much of what they showed was rumored or already announced. But is that really a bad thing? I think it's great that Microsoft covered all it's bases. All the stuff they are showing is going to be playable in the near future. I'll take that over waiting 5 years to play Alan Wake or GT5 any day.

I wasn't going to reply, but that is how I feel about Stuttering Craig, and one of the writers at IGN (can't remember his name). I think you shouldn't be allowed to do stories about games if you keep dressing like 90s Kid from "Atop the Fourth Wall".
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

The problem Microsoft has is that it has the exact same mindset that you do. The difference is that Microsoft has sunk hundreds of millions into this project.

Not being like the hated "Nintendo Evul Cazual" games. Sure these games seemed obvious to you and me, but others were hoping the HD systems would stay the course they wanted.
