Forums - Sony - PS MOVE - gives option for single motion control or two handed

12 minutes in

One motion controller for volleyball makes sense. That game is sick btw! I can see me and my brother-in-law playing that every weekend. Huge volleyball fans.

I'm not sold on the archery and gladiator games using one motion controller yet.

Wow finally someone that likes volleyball lol. That's my favorite sport.

OT: When I heard Sports Champions had Volleyball I was so happy :D and now seeing it on action really increased my curiosity over PS Move. It worked very well!

wow, I'm really discouraged by the calibration screens.I'm only 4 minutes in the video though.

so pointing your controller at the camera and pressing a button, followed by and strecthing out your arm is bad for a calibration technique?? seriously it's not that bad :P:P hopefully we will not have to do it all the time though;)

it's the future of handheld

I think the vid is slightly deminished by the fact that they are standing so close together.  I have a PSEye, and I know the viewing angle is a little larger than that.  It just makes the whole experience look cramped and too frantic.  They also look afraid to swing, otherwise they may hit each other.

Edit:  After watching that vid, I am no loger buying Wishbone.  Lol!  Every 5 mins is just to much for ads.

I think the only reason they have to keep doing it is because they are continously switching between 1 and 2 players.  If you remained on either one, you probably won't have to do it more than once.  That's just a guess, though.

ya know, that's probably the case. Good observation.

What I saw was games that would never fly on the Wii. Archery looks bad. The sword fighting was very porrly done. I mean, why do you have a baseball cap with a gladiator weapon. Wii Sports Resort's sword play had them using Kendo sticks, so it worked. But not only do they now look out of place, but they are fighting with real weapons. Not sure how that will play out. The rest either looked just Ok or didn't seem like fun. The menus have no feeeling to them. Also, where is 4 player Archery?

Move Party looks awful. Everything about it is bad. The minigames look too weird and dont look lik they'll be a lot of fun for more then 10 minutes. The announcer was dumbs. The whole set up of the game sticks.

I do not see Move lighting fires for Sony. I think Nintendo's disruption is a success.

Cool... although now I don't have any interest in this game other than for Archery...

4 ≈ One

Man I hate to sound like a troll here, but that really doesn't look like a game compilation that is going to drive 'new' consumer demand for the PS3. It looks like Wii Sports/Resort copy created by a 3rd party. Basically, I see nothing in that package that would make me want to spend (granted we don't know exact prices yet) nearly twice the amount for a PS3 than a Wii or make me spend the $$$ to buy a PS3 if I already have a Wii.

Keep in mind this line of logic is from the mindset of a consumer that is part of the expanded audience Wii brought in. Not PS3 already owners, 360 owners, or core/techie folks who only own a Wii.

This really needs to be priced right and still looking forward to E3 presentation to see rest of game lineups.
