Forums - Sony - My PSN Purchases!! They're Gone!!

Try this.

Account Management -> System Activation -> PS3 System -> Video -> Activate System

I'll try that right now.  A minute ago, with my last glimmer of hope, I decided to try to download a title that I had already purchased directly from the Playstation Store.  I typed in Jack Ass Number Two (why I picked this over a cheaper TV show, I do not now).  It had a blue shopping bag beside it instead of a red one.  I clicked on it.

Now, in the past, when I had a zero balance in my wallet, the PSN would ask me if I wished to add funds to my account?  Yes/No.  In this particular instance, and the first time it has EVER happened, the money was taken from my card without me having to agree to add funds.  So, I just spent $9.99 for a movie I already owned.  This day just keeps getting better!

btw,

Did you deactivate your account on the old HDD before switching ?

I tried it, DGC.  It says "This System is Activate".  Still no movies in my history......except for Jack Ass Number Two which I just purchased a few minutes ago.

I'm going to try to go to "Media Go" on my PC and I'll try accessing the PSN via my PSP.  When those two fail, I'm just going to say, "Fuck it".  It's no big loss.  Just the fact that I purchased something and I have nothing to show for it really sucks.  If I hadn't gotten that HDD, I probably would have never watched or even thought of these programs ever again.  Most of them are available for instant viewing on Netflix, anyway.  In fact, I wouldn't have purchased them if I'd have known at the time how to put video on my PSP.  It still blows, though.

Seems to me your PS3 doesn't like you. Do you treat her well? Or is it a he?

That's the thing.  I didn't switch HDD's.  I have an external hard drive that's connected with a USB.  I'm using it for my PC, PS3, and 360.  The HDD and my PS3 aren't the problem.  My purchases are all here, plain as day on my PS3 Transaction History.  What I bought, when I bought them, and how much I paid.  I just can't get them!!

Try calling Sony again, and this time pray for a better guy.

Apparently, you cannot re-download movies.

^^^Well, that didn't work at all.  I give up.  I'm going to Limewire and stealing some music.

Well, that explains a lot.  We've learned something, today.  Because of this, we've grown as people and as a community.

I'm almost sure I've read that you can't redownload video content, even if you buy it. You're permitted to back it up on other hard drives, but that's it, I think. It's why purchasing over renting has never seemed like a good deal to me.

Edit: Ah,you've found it. I really do wish they'd change the policy. I'd buy a shitload of videos!
