So Fifa 11 will be joining the list and i doubt it will take Just Dance 2 long to make it either

Good work.  I'd like to see an alternative list that strips out all titles that had any bundling (or enough bundling to count for more than 1% of their sales) just to clearly see the list of bought purely for themselves and not as a pack in freebie.

But good work nonetheless.

That would clean the list of almost everything I should think -- all successful games have some kind of bundle.

Plenty have minimal bundling - i.e. the bulk of sales were clearly not bundles, like CoD, GTA, etc.  Wii Sports is hugely bundled, Indy Lego is, etc.  Maybe say 5% vs 1% but there aren't that many bundles of note actually.

That would still be kinda unfair though. NSMBW makes it to nearly 20m (and would have probably topped 30m) without bundles, but then Nintendo makes a bundle which sells a couple million and makes it vanish from the list completely. I mean, it would've outsold practically everything anyway, but it gets kicked out of the list because of that.

That wouldn't improve the list much either, to be honest, since a lot of games that would've made it to the list without bundles are completely excluded.

The "all bundled games" list would annihilate the entire list, though I like the idea of Twilight Princess being catapulted into the Top 20. Or Top 10.

The <1% list would be impossible for me to compile.

I tell you what. If you like, I'll make the lists, but if you want the latter you're going to need to give me a good resource for it (I will accept you getting Brett to sign off on the list)

All right, the list is arranged, and I'll work on updating the OP tonight.

It should be noted that there wasn't a lot of new entry into the upper echelons of the list (no surprise here), but that the upper echelons themselves have shifted quite a bit thank to Wii bundling. The entire top 10 is now composed of 20 million sellers, and Modern Warfare 2 won't remain in the top 10 for long.

That's interesting. If Nintendo continues the harsh bundling and the Wii holds well... Could Black Ops miss being in the Top 10 entirely?

Wii Fit 2 would be what keeps it out, interestingly...
