u should actuallt not click ok but just close the browser and if not restart PC

as clicking OK OR CANCEL installs the virus

also try Kaspersky once

Mcafee is good at keeping virus away but if the virus is in the PC,it isn't good at taking them out

the virus could have been there if it got disabled sometime and virus entered then,it also gets disabled sometimes if update haapens but we don't restart and continue browsing and the virus gets in also if you ever disabled it to acces some content that most probably think it is an arror but it is really a virus or by some opticle media or usb.

i would suggest if nect time this happens, try kaspersky internet security clean the PC,then disconnect internet, uninstall kaspersky, install mcafee and connect internet

thats what i do

I usually AlT F4 or Ctrl Alt Del it, I already have MacAfee and Malwarebytes. This pop up seems to ignore both.

sometimes those hotkeys don't work and the task manager too doesn't work and if u actively close it when ur PC in on the virus can injstall itself but if u directly restart through CPU,it just terminates

Lol big quote

Anyways, I'm just wondering if anyone is still getting these after the update. Last time someone pointed it out they said they might look into what might be causing it. I hear alot of people complaining about the audio ads which I haven't gotten since 2.0.

i haven't gotten any virus alerts like these at VGC but do get them on other websites so just wanted to alert

I've tried to post about issues like this before and ioi felt the need to delete my posts instead of letting people know.

I understand the need for advertisements to pay the bills, but not at the expense of infecting thousands of computers with crap like this. Of course, then complaining about people using ad blockers.

This website has been pushing advertisements that contain viruses and malware for years. I personally don't understand how ioi can continue to use advertisement companies that feel this is ok to do.

I know what it's like to supply a free product that lives on advertisements and donations.. I did it for years with a little app called eMule. I promise you that in the peak out the applications life, it used 10 times more bandwidth this this site. We ALWAYS made sure that none of our ads harmed the end user. In fact, there was a website that tricked users to thinking it was the official website that installed bad things on their computers. We posted warnings and disclaimers all over our website warning them about this scam and how to remove it. So even when it wasn't us, we tried to help. I have yet to see this site make any annousements about issues like this with instuctions on how to remove anything this site has pushed to the end user..  And saying that it's a advertisers issue and not this sites is just a cop out. There are plenty of other more legit advertisers to use. I thought this site wanted to be more legit, but pratices like this kills any attempt of it in my eyes.

I still get these pop-ups on this site and honestly something needs to be done about it.  Someone less knowledgeable can be easily duped into installing that crap.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Yeah, I've been getting them, too.

Only from this site, on multiple PCs on entirely different networks.

Owner of PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Switch, PS Vita, and 3DS

Yeah, I get them too, but my virus scanner intercepts it, and blocks access before it can pop up the dialog box in the picture. It's not bad for a free scanner, too...
