Forums - Microsoft - 2 new natal tech demos announced.

One is called Living Statue, which is more of a tool than a game. In it, Natal players can create dancing and singing videos with their Avatars and then mail them to other Xbox Live members.

Also new is Obstacle Course. It is described as a series of levels filled with obstacles, naturally, that resemble, "what you would find at a summer camp."

I'm sure theirs going to be alot of tech demo's at E3 for Natal but I'm hoping that rather then tech demo's we actually see some of the launch titles and get to see some journalists going hands on with the tech. Screw tech demo's I want real content. Then again if Microsoft uses Nintendo's strategy all these tech demo's will get bundled together and launched for free with Natal. WiiSports get ready to meet NatalTech.

i believe Microsoft rather uses Apples strategy of generating hype for a product without people exactly knowing what they get.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

E3 is only a few days away. Can't wait.

Thats an over exaggeration if ive ever read one. If youre speaking of unknown products, Apples hit home runs with virtually all of their products. So if Natal resembles an apple product in quality and functionality then ill bve one very very happy gamer.

OT:  I expect these to be very very small parts if MSFT is having a full conference for just natal, theyve been holding waaaaay too much back to have stuff like this throughout the presentation.

You might have misunderstood, i was implying Microsoft follows Apples strategy, i didn't say they were successful in doing so. But we will all see in due time

Sometimes a tech demo can become a good game.

There are lots of sales clerks who considered Wii Sports to be nothing more than a tech demo. And we see how well that did.

But there has to be more than these tech demos for Natal to succeed.
