Why do threads mentioning NPD bring in people saying America isn't WW?

Oh well if MS wants to talk about a certain region sales thats their business since thats what their doing is running a business. Nothing wrong with it really. If he actually goes Xbox 360 is outselling all others worldwide then thats misleading . Which doesn't seem to be the case yet people still feel the need to complain and cry about it. But seems like it was just some guy on twitter from what someone said. So honestly who even cares? Funny how such small things upsets people. I can only see fan boys crying about that.

Edit: So lets not get all bent outta shape over it. Jeez Jack Tretton a few years ago at E3 must of spent a whole hour talking on live tv how great sony was and how their the best till I wanted to change the channel from boredom.

ugh I think your missing the point here

NO ONE goes to NA charts and say hey this is not the world....lol It's about the misleading nature in which MS in perticular has been using NPD....you don't hear Ninty and Sony BS'ing about how dead MS sw sales in JP now do you? So yes people go into threads of MS PR boasting about sales and how they have outsold the competition, they tend to point out the irony so no need to get so worked up over it

This isn't exactly the first time it happened...

I guess some users feel like some other users believe the NPD speaks for the rest of the world. And that's why they bring it up.

It's hard to judge one's intent, but all of you should have expected spin and trolling from Microsoft. Last gen, Microsoft REPEATEDLY announced that Nintendo was not in competition with them before the release of the original Xbox. And for a short while, the Gamecube outsold the Xbox worldwide in the beginning because Gamecube sales far outweighed the Xbox in Japan. Every time it did, Microsoft announce that the Xbox was second in Europe and North America, nothing in regards to Japan. But as soon as the Xbox outsold the Gamecube worldwide because of growing stronger sales in Europe and North America, they started announcing that the Xbox was second place worldwide. IF Nintendo was never in competition with them, Microsoft would have been announcing they were in second all along. Don't be blinded, folks. Typical Microsoft.
