Simply put... SPETACULAR!

Just look at the end of video 1! The scope of this world is absurd!And the music and music transitions are beautiful! Plus, towns - and what a town!

That is how every "Jrpg" should implement its world. It has much detail, or even more than many Action-Adventures! That just got me from pretty hyped, to my most anticipated game after Other M. I love exploration, and this looks like it has a ton of it.

I didn't watch them for exactly the same reason. I know already that this is going to be one of my favourite games this gen. Or at least (if I've got to be prudent) is a game that is worth its purchase. No need to spoil it!

The texture artists get full marks. They crafted an illusion that everything has more depth and detail than it actually has.

Soundtrack is quite excellent as well.

That is quite simply incredible.

It is amazing who one cannot really see the simply 'above average' character models while playing, but can clearly see the fantastic draw distances.

 

One question out of interest:  How many discs do you think Xenoblade will come on?

 

I was thinking 1 x dual layer wii disc, but Monolith could make it like BK and have 2 discs, which is credible given Xenoblade's scope.

I'd say 1 disc most likely. GC discs are smaller so that's why the BK games needed more discs. DQ VIII and FF XII are huge games as well but only use 1 disc. Xenosaga 2 and 3 used two discs but that's because of all the cutscenes so as long as Xenoblade doesn't have quite as many cutscenes as those games then it'll be 1 disc.


Thanks for the info, the fact that FF XII came on one single layer DVD really shows how much the medium can store.

I just got Xenoblade today through the mail (I pre-ordered it on Amazon to get the soundtrack :P) I'll play it tonight and give some impressions (^^)b
