Are you kidding me? Its plot is rather stupid and the acting is horrible.

The orignals were far more interesting, even if the first was a ripoff of Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon. But, that was the basic story of the first game, so meh.

This one needs a better storyline and actors to be good. It has potential in art direction and imagery.

I'd bet a ton of pts that this simply viral marketing.


No, I'm not kidding, how can you call the acting bad when that video showed LITTLE to no actual acting outside of the fight scenes and the revealing of characters, and last time I checked, the acting in the original movies wasn't exactly any better then what has been shown here.

And honestly, what's wrong with the storyline provided so far with this one? Its Mortal Kombat, not a damn Scorsese movie.

While the originals were comical they are expected to be a little quirky and the acting was beleivable for the setting. This is trying to be realistic, but the actors were not beleivable. It looked like a low budget viral job that it is.

Does it get me excited to see a new MK game, definitely. Does it make me want to see a new movie, hell no.

Wait!? So they killed of Johnny Cage already judging by what I saw in that clip not to mention Baraka and Reptile look retarded. Reptile looks like that easter egg character in MK 2 called Meat and Baraka looks like Kabal. WTH? I like who they picked for Jax though that guy is an awesome fighter and I love the movies I seen him in. Oh.. and how the hell is that Scorpion he looked like Kano for crying out loud!?

I am all for a reboot but this is too much!

Yeah possiblily a viral marketing job. i agree the actors were realistic, and i like the dark, gritty take on the characters; but i'm not sure if they can work the supernatural materal, like outworld, etc into this representation of the MK story.

on the plus side, i was shocked to see jeri ryan in the video, i'm a huge star trek voyager fan, so i can only see this as a genuine thing, maybe a tv series that takes place as scorpian gets deeper into the criminal underworld to track down the MK tournament.

OMG OMG OMG!! that was awesome!! to awesome... enough with thre viral marketing, its been known for about 1 year now that WB was rebooting MK( they had already started doing some work). Most likely a movie to go with the game releae...but that was awesome. poor johnny just destined to die

Holy crap. So its a push for a new movie. Well color me wrong on this one. With its poor quality I expected it to be a viral stunt for a new game. However, once polished it could develop into an interesting movie.
