How come so many of you think it's just this one guy? Did you even read the article?

The first sentence uses the term "class action".

I think thats the problem....people don't seem to know what class action means.

Also I know about this issue in question, happened to someone I know.

This issue is caused by final fantasy 13 (I should find a video to show you how the issue progresses because of Final Fantasy 13), but this issue most likely effected such a small percentage of people, that it really does not matter. This isn't the RROD, or the YLOD.....it is just some issue that happened to very small percentage of individuals.

I don't seem to remember people sueing MSFT over Halo 3 destroying their machines or Mass Effect 2 bricking some consoles. Shit happens, all electronics have issues. It is neither parties fault. They WILL lose.

and of course by "they." I mean the idiots who think they are going to get 5million dollars. This reminds me of the case where some guy sued McDonalds because they made him fat.

Fixes for those games came about. And it's 5 million for all of the plantifs, not one. Again. you really don't seem to know what "class action" means.

You still dont understand it Wagram....there were enough people involved in the case for the case to be considered a class action case....maybe there were some people who felt that they should have people on their halo 3/ME2 case but not enough people rallied behind them...

ITS NOT ABOUT WINNING OR LOSING THE CASE......its about crying enough so that everyone can know about your issues.....sony nor square want this case to prolong any further so I suspect that a quick settlement is in the works depending on the quality of their case.....who knows , they might get more than 5 million if their case is really well thought out.

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

This case has a fair amount of people riding on it and if their case is well thought out... Sony/Square will negotiate a settlement behind close doors.....I believe this people involved with this case will get a substantial settlement but not 5 million.....it happens everytime.

For the love of GOD. i KNOW THIS ISN'T JUST A FEW PEOPLE.

I edited my post

BTW I believe this analogy works perfectly for this situation...

Imagine an accused rapist being deemed innocent by the court of law....do you believe the general public will deem this guy innocent?

i hate court cases just like this.

I think the suit is over the refusal to make a fix more than the glitch in the first place.
