natal and move may both have something big lined up but how many people posting in this thread will buy either?

Yeah, i'm going to go out and buy a $59 casual. Sure.

What about Halo? Are you somehow insinuating that Halo: Reach will have a dramatic effect on 360 sales or in any way a comparable effect to that of Halo 3?
I'd suggest taking a look at Gears of War 2's or Halo 3: ODST's impacts and reflecting on your insinuation a little more. You're suggesting that a game that has already had 3 games in the franchise on the system is going to somehow massively increase hardware sales? It's true that this happened with Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, but that was on a system that pretty much only had Halo to sell it.
It's also probably worth pointing out to you that Gran Turismo 5 will in all likelyhood have over twice the impact on PS3 sales as Halo: Reach will have on 360 sales.

more like thinking about not getting it LOL.
| supercat said: There has been an arcade unit for $199 for a while, hasn't helped much has it? But now, we have a lot of improvements in the PS3 coming:
-PSN premium services which will add another source of revenue -Google TV -Move
The 360's improvements are nowhere near the PS3's improvements this year. |
LOL! So you think Natal will add up to nothing, but Move will help the PS3? You think a rumored price of $150 for Natal is too much, but the price of a single person to play Move games would be ~$140 already, and if you want to play just 2 player games... that's another $100. Ouch.
I'm sure XBL will be adding tons of features. Heck it is already leaked to be getting Hulu which will combat Google TV quite a bit and I'm sure there will be quite a bit more.
You are also forgetting the 360 redesign coupled with a price cut.
And last but not least, was this thread really necessary? Are you really so ignorant and short sighted to forget this EXACT SAME SCENARIO only with the PS3 in desperate need JUST LAST YEAR? Quit feeding the fanboy console wars with this junk.
I dont think that either Move or Natal will be a big deal at all.
Bogth require expensive add-on purchases. Both require expensive game purchases for not much content at all. Both are targeted at markets that each console doesn't really go after.
I dont see either doing a whole lot. Since both are pursuing casuals, there is nothing gained over the other.
Secondly, the PS3 is expected to get a price cut as well.

$99 for PS Move, Eye, and Game. But to play all Move games, you need 2 PS Moves and Subcontroller. PS Move controllers are rumored to cost $60 a piece standalone. Subcontroller anywhere from $20-40. So I guess it would actually be closer to $180-200 for just one person to play. Thanks for pointing out my mistake
lol...Even with price cut PS3 could end up passing 360 in mid to late 2011. I need to book a holiday for that date...and celebrate with my homies!
Cheers to all the money lost and hardware sold below cost for both companies! Hip hip hurray!
