Lost Odyssey. 

Without a doubt the best JRPG this gen. 

Proper JRPG battle system. Great ring system. Battles are always tough. And it has probably the best scripting of the genre since FF7. 

I loved it. 

Not better graphics than FF13. But better everything else.

Final Fantasy 7?!! You mean the Final Fantasy 7 with a horrible translation?!! Wow.....just wow.

lost oddesy is gud game, bt it can be slow & boring at times, i wd say the dreams are the best part of th game.

star ocean is vry fun if u cn get past the annoying dialogue.

none of them come close to ff13 in quality tho, bt still they r gud games.

How do you view scripting. Word for word? Or how it pans?

After all JRPG i probably the worst genre in history for scripting, but we cant compare FF7 to other genres. Now Grandia 2 was great. But that was laughable scripting.

I just hugely disagree. FF13 is trounced upon by Lost Odyssey. Graphics hands down go to FF13. Everything else goes to Lost Odyssey. Including emotional cutscenes and music. Nubuo. You rule.

I hugely disagree too. in gameplay prt th most, i luvd ff13's gameplay mor thn any rpg this gen. in emotions lost oddesy hs more standout scenes, bt the characters in ff13 i liked as they wer all based on cliches, but devloped in a un clichd way (except for horrible fang). In lost oddessy the chrcters stayed cliched and th kids were annoying.

music in lost oddesy ws very disappointing considering nobuo made it, ff13's battle thems are much bettr thn the lost oddessy ones.

ff13 brought a unique world with it, lost oddesy felt too familiar, ff13 felt new & fresh. ff13 trounces lost oddesy evrywher xcept for emotion scenes

in this gen for me mass effect 2, tales of vesperia & ff13 stnd leagues above other RPG's

the story in LO was bland & boring, the dreams wer sum of the best stories I hve ever seen in gaming on th othr hand, they wer genius, lost oddessy excelld ther ina  way no game has. ff13 story did things i hvnt seen in rpg's, it made each character time bombs, put them agenst their country, put them through situations i hvnt seen in rpg's. (like hope & snow balcony scene in chapter 7 of ff13)

Word for word if thats the case FF12 has the best scripting out of the main FF's & thats my least liked one....but I admit it has the best dialogue/writing

If its on how it pans out FF6 trounces every FF to hell & back. rofl.
