if GT5 is supporting 3D does that mean the PS3 firmware will be updated to be able to utulise 3D?

I have a feeling that is complete marketing ploy. All colors of light are formed out of the primary 3 colors, red, blue, and green. Yellow is a combination of those light colors. Adding yellow to the already existing prime colors doesn't seem like it would do anything at all, but I haven't seen these TV's in person yet.
