I would like a 3DTV and plan to get one.... but not till the prices come down as I just cant afford it or justify the money it would cost.

if your gona get a 3d tv id say prob get a sony one since its prob much better to yous with ps3
Until it's not required to wear glasses I will never consider getting a 3DTV.
From what I've experience watching on 3DTV, it seems the 'pop out' stuff takes the focus away from everything else whereas I'd like to view the entire screen as a whole, seeing every fine detail from characters and background. If i were to play a graphically stunning game I'd like to see it all.
But maybe my eyes are not use to it yet?
I want to save for it but I am saving for more important things. Workstation PCs don't come cheap. :(
I'm gonna wait 4-5 years for the 4D TVs to come out.

yes the samsung ones aren't good,LG's are the same too
i think they didn't work on their TV and just wanted to get ahead of the competion so they launched their 3DTV's are SONY's announcement last year

i have tried samsung and they aren't good enought, neither are LG's.They didn't work on their 3D tv's and just wanted get ahead of the competiton so they launched

I have yet to see you post something correct on this forum. No one rushed any TVs out. Samsung had 3D TV's since 2007 but none of them were LCD. The new LCD's are vasly improved for 2D and 3D than anything available "last year". LG as well, they didn't have 3D TV's till 2010.
Your Sony bias is becoming tiresome.

Sorry leo J, this isnt' correct. They are all the same tech and work pretty much the same. If it was all "depth" then it wasn't the TV but the movie you were watching. You prolly saw Monsters VS Aliens which is a 3D movie converted. Samsung has an early advantage as they've been doing 3D with plasmas and DLPs sine 2007. I'd go with samsung over anything at the moment else to be honest... OT - I may try it. I have a TV which will work but no PS3. If the games are mindblowing in 3D I'll get a PS3...but I am not holding my breath. If its not 80% as good as 3D vision on the PC I prolly wont bother |
samsungs are polarised, some companies are taking out Shutter glass tech
SAMsung is very bad, even are LG.I have experienced them and its like you are just watching a darker image with black glasses.there is no 3D effect
it is so typical SAMSUNG and LG,that they just wanted to get ahead of the competition and they released products that haven't been properly reseached and worked on.
their 3DTV plans weren't even out until JAN and that was too because of SONY announcing the 3D for this years with all its PS3,WORLD CUP,etc promotions.
SAMSUNG and LG just put out products when the tech is coming and never bring something revolutionary."OH 3D is gonna be big and all these companies are promoting it and taking out products, let us to take one out of our own"
the early promotion of SAmsung on DLP's and plasma is almost inexistant
i have seen AVATAR game and some other PC games on my friend's SAMSUNG 3DTV(the new ones),he like a fool just went and bought it cause he thought it is the new 'BIG THING' without even comparing it with other 3DTV's and techs

Id strongly consider Plasma 3D tvs from Samsung or panasonic if you are considering spending that kind of money. They are simple beter for 3d: 1. Plasma TVs have pretty much instantaneous pixel refresh rates and this results in a lack of ghosting and blurring in fast motion videos. LCD's I saw (even LED ones) still have slight ghosting 2. Contrast - when you are flipping between 2 pictures for each eye per second you want as much contrast as you can get. Plasmas still rape LCD's in contrast. 3. Moving picture resolution - Plasamas are the only TV's on the market capable of delivering true 1080p resolution in 3D to each eye. The best LCDs can do 800 lines tops...

really no LCD can do 1080p 3D?
didn't know that cause SAMSUNG and all the other companies are advertising it as FULLHD 3D
