If you want a gaming PC, build it, don't buy it. Buying ones are never as good or they are too expensive. Try to find someone near you who can help you, order the parts you want, and go to town. You could build a good one for $800-$1000. Maybe less.

go the cyberpower build a computer there you can biuld what you want or build whole bunch of computer compare price/cpu/g card etc. plus they give 3 year warranty to the computer and part very safe too.

Assuming that the beta requirements are similar to the final game's ones:

Then you'll be able to spend a lot less than $1100 and play it fine. More like $700. If you buy separate components and put it together yourself or get a local PC shop to do it.

CPU: In the price range, AMD. The game can use four cores, so an AMD Athlon II X4 635 (4x3.0GHz) should be more than enough.
GPU: Since Nvidia has no effective competition, AMD. HD 5750 or 5770, unless your resolution is higher than 1920x1200.
Motherboard: For an AMD CPU I would use an AMD motherboard. You could go Nvidia but they're a little outdated.

CPU, $100: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103702
GPU, $130: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150448
RAM, $100: 4GB DDR3-1333, any brand
Case/PSU: ~500W, $60 total
Motherboard, $80, e.g. AMD 785G (AM3): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130247
Hard Drive: 1TB, ~$80
Operating System: Either transfer your current one, or 7's about $100.

Total: $650

If you really have no use for the extra cash, and you want to play much more demanding games than Starcraft II:

CPU/Motherboard: Intel, unless you want 6 cores
GPU: Still AMD, unless you think a GTX 465 is good value.

CPU, $200: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115215
GPU, $290: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161330
RAM, $100: 4GB DDR3-1333, any brand
Case/PSU: ~600W, $70 total
Motherboard, $130, P55: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130248
Hard Drive: 1TB, ~$80
Operating System: Either transfer your current one, or 7's about $100.

Total: $970

Ask Soleron.

He will tell you to get a Phenom II X4 955 together with 4GB RAM and a Radeon HD 5850. Which I agree with.

EDIT: he already posted. This was assuming a full ~$1000 budget. Obviously you don't need a comp that strong for Starcraft II.

Oh no! I recommended an Intel processor for the ~$1000 option. The world is ending.

What...? I'm in shock.

I am so freakin disappointed in you! You are not a very good friend.

The i5 750 is about 10% faster than the 955 for a 10% increase in total system price taking into account CPU and motherboard. In other words, a toss-up, and I wanted to use a little more of the $1100 for the second system.

Btw Soleron, u said:

Is that really possible for $70?

Over here I'd be prepared to spend over $70 for the PSU alone (Corsair 550W) and another $70 for a decent case.

Im not questioning your recommendation per se. Im just pro-AMD u know.

Now a question, or clarification. Would the system with the i5 750 really be a whole $100 more expensive than the X4 955 system?

(and that CPU is in fact only 10% faster than the AMD CPU?)
