Forums - Nintendo - i just got NMH2 and my take on the game

Really? Really? I mean, I liked NMH2. It was definitely a fan game though imo. I had no trouble whatsoever with the combat and I actually liked the new beam katanas and such. And playing as Shinobu and Henry was epic!

I donno. Both are fantastic games imo. Both had flaws. The former was waaay to repetitive and had graphical issues while the latter was too short and had less awesome bosses.

I really wouldnt recommend this game for fans of the original. The gameplay is slowed down considerably, sword swing take longer, and finsihers are disconnected from your motions (swing, but Travis doesnt for another sec or two).

Anyone else experience this ? pretty much a deal breaker

NMH2 is a solid sequel. The mini-games are fun, the music is awesome, the bosses will give u a challenge, not all of them though, the game has a lot of funny moments and playing as Shinobu and Henry is fun too.

I found the 2nds story was great, presented in a grindhouse/anime style really helped it.

Well I'm up to Battle Royale and enjoying so far. I thought the first sequence with number 51 was classic. I'm enjoying it a bit more because I don't have to pee about with the bike. Also, I like training the cat.

Yes.

NMH2 is a good game, but whether it's better than the first is really up to questioning. The gameplay itself is far less tedious and frustrating than the first. However, like others have said, the story's memorability took a nice hit. Yeah, it started out on par with the series, but the story really fizzles out towards the end of the game. If it weren't for the bad ending, then it would easily be the better of the two.

No More Heroes 2 made several improvements from the original, however The story wasn't as good as the first and the ending wasn't as good either.

I agree with Dixie.

I liked the first game better.
