so because there is stock in one of the most friendlist 360 countries(apart from the us) == no shortage wrldwide!!??
fact is there are shortages but only in the US, we are all sick of this debate, and at this rate people will create a whole new record for the amount of time being in constant denial

not only is it been very limited on Amazon, somebody here should go type in ps3 on amazon right now. The 120 gb ps3, no package, just the ps3, is $370. While it is currently available, the demand is so high for it that Amazon knows it is sold out in stores so they can charge more and will still have people buy it from them. 370 is not as bad as it sounds though. Add tax onto 299.99 and you have like 323. Add on shipping (free on Amazon, if you don't want to count the shipping, count the money you used on gas to get to the store, etc.) It is only like $40 more in all truth, but they are still selling them guaranteed.

Amazon is actually out of stock. The 370 is from a 3rd party seller. If you want to buy it actually FROM AMAZON... its 299. but there is a 2 to 4 week wait.

Or sony will win the award for most incompetent supply chain...  modest sales for 5 months in the US now and still slow supply apparently, all the while Europe and Japan are awash with PS3's 

can you explain that?

At best buy today in Missoula, MT, there were no PS3s, nor any at walmart either. Lots of wiis and 360s though.

why? thats ridiculous. so presumably what you are saying is that actually the PS3 is selling more than the wii in the US?  yeah... ok.

lol as if, it's more of a comparison between x360 and ps3 sales in america +  the fact that i think they are making and shipping less ps3's to the US because they make less there on each ps3 sold.

I guess shortages are only in USA, as here in Italy, like in most EU countries I read of around, stores have piles of every console, PS3 included, both 120GBs and 250GB bundles.
Very sluggish period, anyway...
