Forums - General - Gary coleman has died!!

Shame that. Be at peace one who gave so much laughter to the world, who's own life wasn't quite so full of laughter.

I'm sick and tired of these threads. What makes his death any different than the thousands of deaths each year. He had one hit show as a kid and really did nothing after that. He was just a washed up child star that died, like that has'nt happened before.

Hello, Mr. Callous.

It isn't any different, every death is mourned by someone and since Gary Coleman was known nationally he is mourned nationally.

Sorry if you are a bit tired of celebrity deaths, but just because he's famous doesn't make his death less important.

His life after "Different Strokes" was just one big punchline. That's sad because I loved him as a child. At the time, I had no idea he was ten years younger than my mom. The guy had TV shows (none as popular as Different Strokes), video game cameos, commercials, a cartoon (he played an angel), and was a cultural phenomenon.

Like the other kids on the show, life after was pretty rough. I remember he had problems with his parents spending his money, too. AND, Michael Jackson chose Emmanuel Lewis as his preferred "little black guy".

I feel sorry for Coleman. Rest in peace.

People die everyday. That's just the way it is. So again, what makes his death more important than the thousands of people that die every year? Just because he had a hit show 28 yrs ago. I may sound callous, but I really don't care about his death. You hear about people dying everyday on the news, that you just don't care anymore.

Because we knew him by his TV show and by his personal like afterwards.

The older users grew up watching his show so pardon them if they're a little sad. I mean, thousands of people die everyday, it's not a big deal, right?

He's right dtewi. From this point on, VGChartz should only have threads that oldschoolfool cares about. Whether anybody else actually does care is irrelevant.

looks at d21lewis's post>leaves thread.

"Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?": RIP Gary Coleman.

Aww... he was so cute. And he looked funny as an adult. He was a dwarf right?
