I haven't seen the movie but I will say this - Jake Gyllenhall most certainly looks Persian.

i liked it. I've never seen any of Gyllenhaal's movies before this but I thought he played the part perfectly. The only thing that bugged me was the accents.

That chick should have been Scottish. pfft.

You should see Donnie Darko.

Just saw PoP yesterday and Rotten Tomatoes has gone off the tracks with both this and Robin Hood.

For what it is meant to be PoP is a fine entry into the genre. The plot hangs together enough to make for a coherent story. PoP story/plot >>> Avatar story/plot yet Avatar gets 82% on Rotten Tomatoes and Pop gets less than 1/2 that O_o). The acting is good, some of the dialogue is cheesy and some of the romantic moments are rather ridiculous (or at least ridiculously timed). The action is great with lots of good nods to the game (if you think any of it is from Assassin's Creed it just means you haven't seen the game Assassin's Creed borrows heavily from, except for that one bit when he's out on a ledge and does the leap thing).

It's a solid 6/10 from me and definitely worth seeing on the big screen.

You must have loved the Scottish "Vikings" in How to Train Your Dragon then. Unfortunately I thought it was cringe-worthy. Would have been funnier with South Dakota accents (watch Fargo if you don't know what I'm talking about).

I saw Robin Hood, liked that too! it was a nice difference to the usual, although Russell Crowe does not measure up to how sexy that fox was in Disney's one.

I don't like listening to reviews, because most reviewers are pompous arrogant fools who value their own opinions too much and try too hard to come up with witty, scathing remarks. I prefer talking to "real" people about movies (and games and things too).

Of course some of the dialogue is cheesy and the romance ill-timed, but in real life a lot of dialogue is cheesy too, haha :D

(i'll check out Donnie Darko when I get the chance, thanks ).
