natal is not original look al all the dev videos, everything that natal can do (well almost) eyetoy did in the ps2 days, the difference is is was not 3d tracking, this is why i made this thread, and yes move is a copy of the wiimote in looks, so natal is a copy of eyetoy but with different tech, just wish you all could except that fact and all stop being so hypocritical.

But you cant compare a CAMERA, That scans your WHOLE body in 3D, and puts YOU in the game, it doesnt put the game around you.

Thats like saying the PS Camera is virtual reality, which its not. Natal is the closest thing on console that we have to VR, The only thing we dont see is the game, how ever we are in the game, just like in VR.

i mentioned the eyetoy which was on ps2 years before the camera for xbox even existed and it's more like this

I dont see what you are getting at here. If virtual reality is hitting a red ball off a wall, im out.

Natal has hardly been proven to be the equivalent of VR. If anyone actually believes this, they will likely be in for a disappointment when they play the first batch of Natal games. But if you want to convince yourself you're having a revolutionary experience as you play Ricochet for the 100th time, that's fine too.

As for the name, does it really even matter beyond marketing?

"Wii" is about the dumbest name for a console ever conceived and yet everyone has grown to accept it while some have gone so far as to make it their mantra.

Wave and Move both imply motion controls although neither are particularly inspiring names. "Wave" is arguably slightly worse as it is not far from "flail" which is the major complaint many gamers have had with current motion control games.

In all three cases, one concept is consistent: simplest name possible. That means easy to remember and implies simple to use, which was one of the main selling points of motion controls in the first place; making game controls accessible to anyone.

That is the Xbox Live Vision Camera, and the PS Camera. Xbox did copy that yes, they are very simular, but Natal is 3D and VR, while Eye Toy is ..... 2D and not VR.

Your comparing PS mote to Power glove, theyre not even in the same catagory.

I don't personally agree with the OP, cuz I don't think anyone 'copies' anyone....what's successful or/and works will be followed...it's about trend and such

Who mentioned power glove, that thing was an epic failure, ps eye was the first real succesful motion contol based device (sold 10m).

If you all expect VR from Natal prepare to be dissapointed, it is going to be more wii stylised trust me, ps move will be better at VR applications but at the cost of having controllers, you should know this by now if you paid any attention to Sony's demo's of ps move.

I respect your view, but the whole double standard/hypocrisy issue was the whole reason why I started this thread, I am just sick of certain people saying ps move is a copy but natal is not, it is the most disgusting double standard I have ever seen, so either:

1. they are both copies let's just all agree to it (which will never happen).

2. neither are copies becauase they both use different tech (not everyone will agree with this either).
