In which regard is it ahead of its time exactly?

Is it more ahead of its time than an ipod touch? than an iphone? than a zunehd? than any number of smartphones?

its a compromise that didnt woirk... thats what it is. its a psp thrown into a new body... it isnt even touch screen or 3G ffs

As fully digital game system it is, there are plenty of phones that can do what the iphone does. Why are you compareing an ipod to psp? What does a touch screen have to do with what I said?

an ipod also has digital download only distribution....  did you miss that?  sells billions of apps that way....

so i ask again... how is it ahead of its time?

*sigh* pay attention please..i said as a digital only game system. please don't bring up that ipod crap, 10 dollar games will sell alot more than a 40 dollar one. Not sure what your deal is but keep whatever attitude you have to yourself.

It was launched at 250$

*sigh* pay attention please..i said as a digital only game system, i'm not gonna get into the ipod/psp debate beacuse I have had enough of that. The thing is a flop but I think sony should have waited when the digital thing with video games became bigger. I don't know what your problem is but keep your attitude to yourself.

lol.  what attitude?... you made an assertion that i (and others it seems) think is wrong... im sorry if you cant handle disagreement.  I'll leave you to it.

lol  i can handle it, , you seem to have an issue with my opinion. The ps3,360,ds and wii have the option of a disc of digital the go does not. People still want a disc in there hands and the go does not offer that all i'm saying is that the psp go would have been better off when people prefer digital copies over discs. dvds and cds are still around when we clearly have the tech to make them obsolete...get what i'm saying now?

your comparing the GO nothing but a redesign to a full fledge new machine commin off the PS2?

btw the GO is not ahead of its time..its has the features as any other mobile device these days ...ahead of its time means its doing the current era isnt really exposed to yet

both are considered too pricy but alas my point has been missed. Sony f'd up by making the thing all digital.

I meant as far as it being an all digital game system, people still want discs in their hands.

the point isnt missed just wrong... around the part where you said PSP is ahead of its time... how can it be ahead of its time if it was modeled after iphone and other current smart phones?
