So I only have PS3, so PS2 and Nintendo FFs are out. It's either PSN FFs or PS3 FFs.

I've always wanted to see what the fuss is with Final Fantasy, but I've never taken the plunge.

So what is the consensus of the community (not that I will necessarily follow the majority).

My first FF game was FFIV for the DS.

I recommend you get something easier, 'cause this is kicking my ass.

Even though it's the worst version, start with Final Fantasy Anthology for FFVI. FFIV is a great game, but it just doesn't hold up to games of today (remember, you can play PS1 games).

After that, just play in order that you can. FFVII, VIII, IX, and then XIII.

If you'd like to play FFIV (and it's still a good game), get Final Fantasy Chronicles.

FFVII is way too old and you should wait for the inevitable remake.

Skip FFVIII and FFIX.

Start with FFX.

Skip FFXI and FFXII.

Then play FFXIII.
