there's no need for the preliminary attack on Nintendo fans, especially with the lack of evidence. |
Have you met the internets? If you lack evidence, that just means you have to attack sooner and more wildly

lol. how am i defending it there is nothing to defend it does not even have to be defended. just so you can say "what we were first with it everyone else is a copy cat"? so what if everyone is a percieved copycat. please/ if anything it seem's no one can be happy unless other's feel upset over it as much as that person feel's. I am not happy so you can't be happy...

If you read my post you would realize that I could care less who did what first. Please read my post. I responded to your statement " why worry about placement in a console war when your already 3rd!" by saying that they are worried and that is why Sony introduced the move. Your latest post just makes no sense to me and is not germane to our argument.
Thanks for your time.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

When I state that it will be a huge blow to the Wii crowd, again...I am talking about the minority whom care or even know what E3 is all about. No one can rule out that the Move gets more positives as the days go by. Love it or hate it, it's picking up steam and a release date has already been set. E3 will basically be the week of reckoning that will make or break the rest of this gen.
Wait, Sony actually said something with some common sense. Don't put out crap and complain about? Was that a vague compliment that it's not Nintendo fault for developers making something that's crap?
Well if this is true I have to give a bit more respect towards Sony's behavior.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

You do know that the hardcore on the Wii is an extreme minority right? That discounts a lot of people in the Wii demographic. It makes sense if you think about it. The looks, marketing style and preliminary games are a clear indicator that this system will mainly be picked up by the hardcore. Seriously....do you believe casuals are going to fork out another $400 bucks to get a PS3/Move bundle? Please dude...spare me. This thing is made like it was created to go after the hardcore. Look at the butler commercials...it's so elitist and its hilarious. Just to let you know, there are hardcore gamers that only have Wii's and haven't made the jump to the PS3 or 360's. This also goes for Wii60 owners and PS3 stand alone owners. If you have all 3 systems that great as well. If you don't want it thats your problem. Prove what I have to say wrong without bringing your personal feelings into it. I am looking at it from a marketing stand point. |
Wait, so you're basically saying Sony is going after an extreme minority? That sounds pretty damn stupid.
So, a "casual" wouldn't fork out over $400 to get a PS3/Move bundle, but a "hardcore" gamer would? Why exactly does this "hardcore" only have a Wii in the first place? I'd love to see an example library of this type.
The reality is, many of the niche games for the "hardcore" on the Wii don't even utilize motion controls. Also, seeing how a vast majority of the best games on the Wii are first party, most of these "hardcore" are actually more fans of Nintendo than motion control. That means most of the Wii-only crowd you're thinking of are not anticipating Sony's Move or new motion controllers, but Metroid Other M, Zelda Wii, and so on.

How does it make them worried?
" by saying that they are worried and that is why Sony introduced the move."
an i say again so what if their 3rd.
you do not have to be #1 to be successful. when there is more stiff competition this generation. one only has to look @ all the game platform's on the sales market to see that.

ps:
Proud psOne/2/3/p owner. I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.
The original article from Kotaku misses out a whole heap of stuff that this guy said, but I'm not really surprised.
He went on to say that they would "make use of the camera... up-res and add trophies" in order to 'improve' the games should any be ported over, and if the devs don't want to do that they'll "make it network-only so you don't see it on a disc"...
So basically, they'd either be tweaking the controls, tweaking the graphics, and adding trophies, or doing very minor tweaking and whacking it on PSN. That isn't enough to attract my attention, but I know some people will love it just because of the mention of tweaked graphics...

Move's pointer isn't stable/fast enough for direct ports due to how it's handled (triangulation based on camera/ball + tilt). They'd need to reconfigure heavily, to the point where I'd say Atlus R&D1 would be better served just doing a ground up Move Trauma game.
This holds true for gun games like HotD or RE Chronicles too. Though the Chronicles games are slow enough to where Move could probably handle them okay.
Add ons never sell as well as if they are made for the console from scratch. Sony has no chance of producing games at the level of nintendo for a controller thta will be forgotten in a years time after launch
