Sony got my respect for that. Knowing them they WILL work with third parties and their first party wont even be up for questioning. With the launch in July they should have some great E3 offerings. This is going to be a huge blow to the Wii crowd when the hardcore catches sight of Sony's offerings with the new peripheral.

there's no need for the preliminary attack on Nintendo fans, especially with the lack of evidence.

Have you met the internets? If you lack evidence, that just means you have to attack sooner and more wildly

So they will do what Nintendo did during the Snes/N64 era... look what that did.

yup make some awsome game's and guess what the fact that Sony is already in 3rd . so why the hell does it matter now anyway. Quality is a good thing if you ask me. it's not about catching the Wii, Sony's going for quality. why worry about placement in a console war when your already 3rd!

If Sony was not worried about their placement in the console war then they'd focus on developing games for the audience that they are competing for. Instead they want to introduce the move to attract the mainstream audience to the PS3 to improve sales and thus change the Placement of the PS3 in the console wars.

o'l come on now just because the market leader has something unique does not mean that one of the other's would not add it if they could, now would you have not seen their technology added if the Wii did not take off?

the fact that Sony waited because they got burned in the past with motion control's they put out the Eyetoy and 3rd party's did not support it like they said they would.

so what if they added it later, atleat they combined it's use with the EYETOY to give it more function's.

Many consumer's are very happy with motion control's for gaming, now Sony has added that option to the PS3.

unless Only Nintendo can have that technology?

Sony and Microsoft jump on the motion control band wagon after the Wii became successful. They both came out against motion controls in interviews and look now. This has nothing to do with copying the Uniquess of the market leader and everything to do with sales. I could go on but some of your comments make you sound like a bitter Fanboy.

bitter fanboy..lol

AND ONCE AGAIN SO WHAT IF THEY DID!

and PR matter's why?

just because some PR speak is put out does not mean what they stated was every thing they may plan on doing!

alot of PR is just trying to hurt on the other's sale's. the fact that.

calling someone a bitter fanboy it just seem's to me if anyone is bitter it's the people who try to make out PR as some sort of past truth to keep bring up when they want to keep trying to discourage or downplay any an all thing's about another system because of some slight toward a system they have a preference for

sort of like some PR.. speak we have heard before. so in effect your doing exactly the same thing you are mad about!

"unless Only Nintendo can have that technology?" confirms that you sound like a bitter fanboy. That comment had no place in the discussion what so ever.

"AND ONCE AGAIN SO WHAT IF THEY DID!" You are the one defending their every move and that quote makes your arguments pointless.

Good day sir.

lol. how am i defending it there is nothing to defend it does not even have to be defended. just so you can say "what we were first with it everyone else is a copy cat"?

so what if everyone is a percieved copycat.

please/

if anything it seem's no one can be happy unless other's feel upset over it as much as that person feel's.

I am not happy so you can't be happy...

If you read my post you would realize that I could care less who did what first. Please read my post. I responded to your statement " why worry about placement in a console war when your already 3rd!" by saying that they are worried and that is why Sony introduced the move. Your latest post just makes no sense to me and is not germane to our argument.

Thanks for your time.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

When I state that it will be a huge blow to the Wii crowd, again...I am talking about the minority whom care or even know what E3 is all about. No one can rule out that the Move gets more positives as the days go by. Love it or hate it, it's picking up steam and a release date has already been set. E3 will basically be the week of reckoning that will make or break the rest of this gen.

Wait, Sony actually said something with some common sense. Don't put out crap and complain about? Was that a vague compliment that it's not Nintendo fault for developers making something that's crap?

Well if this is true I have to give a bit more respect towards Sony's behavior.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

It's kind of annoying constantly hearing you speak for this "Wii crowd," when you're not among them. I understand you don't like the system, but that obviously does not apply to all of us, especially those who prefer the Wii over HD consoles in the first place (which has more to do than just motion controls).

I personally have both HD consoles myself, yet so far I have no plans on getting this thing.

Just keep the excitement to yourself, and others who share your enthusiasm, rather than trying to turn this into a tool for fanboy wars.

On topic, I hope this works out for them. Making these kinds of games isn't as easy as it may seem...

You do know that the hardcore on the Wii is an extreme minority right? That discounts a lot of people in the Wii demographic. It makes sense if you think about it. The looks, marketing style and preliminary games are a clear indicator that this system will mainly be picked up by the hardcore. Seriously....do you believe casuals are going to fork out another $400 bucks to get a PS3/Move bundle? Please dude...spare me. This thing is made like it was created to go after the hardcore. Look at the butler commercials...it's so elitist and its hilarious. Just to let you know, there are hardcore gamers that only have Wii's and haven't made the jump to the  PS3 or 360's. This also goes for Wii60 owners and PS3 stand alone owners. If you have all 3 systems that great as well. If you don't want it thats your problem. Prove what I have to say wrong without bringing your personal feelings into it. I am looking at it from a marketing stand point.

Wait, so you're basically saying Sony is going after an extreme minority? That sounds pretty damn stupid.

So, a "casual" wouldn't fork out over $400 to get a PS3/Move bundle, but a "hardcore" gamer would? Why exactly does this "hardcore" only have a Wii in the first place? I'd love to see an example library of this type.

The reality is, many of the niche games for the "hardcore" on the Wii don't even utilize motion controls. Also, seeing how a vast majority of the best games on the Wii are first party, most of these "hardcore" are actually more fans of Nintendo than motion control. That means most of the Wii-only crowd you're thinking of are not anticipating Sony's Move or new motion controllers, but Metroid Other M, Zelda Wii, and so on.

How does it make them worried?

" by saying that they are worried and that is why Sony introduced the move."

an i say again so what if their 3rd.

you do not have to be #1 to be successful. when there is more stiff competition this generation. one only has to look @ all the game platform's on the sales market to see that.

I AM BOLO

100% lover "nothing else matter's" after that...

ps:

Proud psOne/2/3/p owner.  I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

The original article from Kotaku misses out a whole heap of stuff that this guy said, but I'm not really surprised.

He went on to say that they would "make use of the camera... up-res and add trophies" in order to 'improve' the games should any be ported over, and if the devs don't want to do that they'll "make it network-only so you don't see it on a disc"...

So basically, they'd either be tweaking the controls, tweaking the graphics, and adding trophies, or doing very minor tweaking and whacking it on PSN. That isn't enough to attract my attention, but I know some people will love it just because of the mention of tweaked graphics...

If you are only stealing the good stuff I hope I get all three trauma games on BD for 60.

Move's pointer isn't stable/fast enough for direct ports due to how it's handled (triangulation based on camera/ball + tilt).  They'd need to reconfigure heavily, to the point where I'd say Atlus R&D1 would be better served just doing a ground up Move Trauma game.

This holds true for gun games like HotD or RE Chronicles too.  Though the Chronicles games are slow enough to where Move could probably handle them okay.

Add ons never sell as well as if they are made for the console from scratch. Sony has no chance of producing games at the level of nintendo for a controller thta will be forgotten in a years time after launch
