Wonder if it's only for Ubi games or in general.

There are a couple retail ones, but the only games I can remember the names of are WiiWare games (FFCC My life as a King and My life as a Darklord)

"Ubisoft believes that big-name games do well on Wii"

Wait. I don't recall small name games doing well on the HD systems. If they are hyped enough to sell well, they become big names.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Nope, I forgot about the Wiiware games and Guitar Hero/Rockband (Mostly because I lost interest after GH III)

A lot of rhythm games. Samba de Amigo and, as far as I know, since Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour, all variants had DLC. Also, some WiiWare titles, such as Megaman and Final Fantasy Chronicles: My Life as a King.

does nobody do simple google searches anymore? Of course Wii has games with DLC. A google search and wikipedia click brought up a full list of Wii's Wifi games along with Pay and Play (DLC) games. The list of games that have downloadable content of some kind are:

Retail:
Animal Crossing: City Folk
The Beatles: Rock Band
Boom Blox Bash Party
Guitar Hero World Tour
Guitar Hero 5
Karaoke Joysound Wii
Mario Kart Wii
Rock Band 2
Samba De Amigo
Wii Music
WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009

Wiiware:
SPOGS Racing
Yakuman Wii
Bubble Bobble Plus!
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King
Karaoke Joysound Wii
Kotoba no Puzzle: Mojipittan
Lonpos
Oekaki Logic

DLC on Wii isn't where it could or should be, but it DOES exist and is 100% possible, developers just omit it from most games and multiplatform versions on Wii.

Well the title is misleading. There is no restriction on DLC except for the size of the storage device. Any developer could if they want to have a 1MB WiiWare downloader for a 2GB game. The limitation isn't in the Wii it's in that Nintendo doesn't support bigger than 50mb downloads through the Wiiware service. If a company were to host there own download they could go as big as they way.

As an example I noticed Capcom running there own servers for MHTri and Nintendo didn't force Capcom to use NWC. Nintendo only places limits when using there service. Nintendo doesn't force anyone to use their service. It's a fair. So any complaints should be made against developers not Nintendo for limitations. PC developers having been runing there own servers for 10 years longer than the XBox and Live. That's why I laugh at these developers who are lazy and blame Nintendo for there lackluster efforts.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
