Take a Zune HD for shure, the best one, OR wait for DELL Windos Mobile CELL and you will rock.. Best way is to keep X360 platform up..

Only reason I might get the 32GB w/ dock is because it's the same price as the amazon 32 GB without the dock... It is above my budget of $200 though...

Personally I'd go with the first one, you can use it to charge other USB devices also.

Looking at offers... I see two that have gotten me, a 16GB for $168.54:

Only reason I might get the 32GB w/ dock is because it's about the same price as the amazon 32 GB without the dock (worth $89), which would be like either getting the dock free, or the 32GB Zune for $145... The Zune HD was the first Zune in 2 years... Why would they make another so quickly? It's not the ipod...

Apps dont even bother with em, as for the Xbox 360 and Zune, you can

 

  • Put xbox data on the zune, like saved games and DLC. (yay!)
  • Stream music from the zune to the xbox.
  • watch videos in fabalous 480o
  • charge your zune through xbox
  • put videos from your xbox onto the zune and watch them on the zune.

Hm... wait, 480o? is that supposed to be an i? My xbox is connected in full 1080p HD (currently Prog cables, soon HDMI to get rid of screen-door effects) Why wouldn't the Xbox read it off like a HDD and just play the video in at least 720p?

Are you talking about the xbox playing it on the TV, or the actual screen of the Zune HD?

My ZuneHD has been the happiest purchase I've made in a while. It's an amazing music player, and provided you're up for paying the subscribtion fee, the ability to download whatever you have a whim to download is amazing. Case in point, we had a Cinco De Mayo party at my workplace, I downloaded some mariachi music and plugged my zune into the speakers. I don't really care for the music, but I didn't have to pay the $1+ fee per song that some music providers demand so I was quite happy.

The only Apps I ever use are Facebook and they have a kick-ass calculator that is mad handy

Ooh, so there is a facebook app? Yay.

And I'm not gonna do the Zune Pass. I already have my music sources. If you know CD Baby, I'm a big fan of theirs. :P

Nice option... Though I'm sure you could find the music on youtube if it has/had a youtube application XD

Are you talking about the xbox playing it on the TV, or the actual screen of the Zune HD?

If your Zune is connected to the Xbox, and you want to watch something off of your zune it will be played in 480p.

The actual screen resolution of the zune is 480x272.

Do NOT suggest the iPod Touch or iPad to me. My brother had one and I don't want it. I REALLY want the Creative Zii Egg (look it up, it will blow your mind), but it seems this device may never see the light of the market production, and I'm not buying the $400 developer's version, and I have been dying without my music.

    I dislike syncing (i <3 drag-and drop), but I do like the sleekness of current-generation, I like lightweight and smallness and I like touchscreens. The HD Radio sounds kinda cool (although I many never use it) Although the Zune HD has no replaceable battery pack, I can oversee that, as it has a longer battery life than the touch. The price ($165 at amazon for 16GB model) is very nice as well. So far, the Zune HD seems like the right choice for me.

    One feature that peaked my interest in the Zune HD: HD Output to TV. Paying ~$80 for the doc is not worth it though. I DO have an XBOX 360 (and 2 PS3's if that would work?), and I know they can sync for the most part the same as a doc... And the 360 is in my room and I have my TV wired to my stereo. X360's are also fairly popular in my area.

Main questions:

-Any other suggestions?
-Any loss in this 360 setup vs. the dock (besides slight portability)?
-Anything really important applications/updates I should d/l with the Zune HD? I've seen a guitar tuning app... I know the xbox has a fb app and the ipod touch has a YT app. Those would probably be nice, but those are all and I can live without them.
