I think there’s a good chance it will all be decided by how well Natal performs in the marketplace against the PS3 Move.

Although it’s still possible for PS3 to bridge the gap within time before a new generation starts. It's still difficult to say. 

No matter what the Xbox 360 has been a success in terms of winning market share and the PS3 has been like the comeback kid this generation. Which has not really been done before.

So you could say they both have had there share of success.

I made this thread because there hasn’t been a discussion on this subject in what seems like a long time now.

Good point to make well lets say for conversations sake we assume the next gen starts around late 2011 early 2012 including home consoles only.

That should help with making predictions.

Interesting results.

Going by the poll the general consensus is that the Xbox 360 will hold the lead and going by the comments here PS3 will edge out the Xbox 360 before the end of the generation.

I don't think Natal will bolster sales that much, but I'm crazy.
