Don't count the Wii out yet; it may yet top 2009 once the big guns like Wii Relax/Party, Galaxy 2/Other M, and possibly Zelda hit.

 

It's last big hardware pusher was NSMBWii 6 months ago; naturally that momentum has slowed some.

NSMB had a phenomenal impact on Wii hardware for a while, but unfortunately these sales are bad even in comparison to the same week last year, when the most significant and recent hardware pushers were already a year old! (since AC and WM were barely selling at this point, rather Wii Fit and MKWii were the big sellers)


  Wii will probably still get up around last years WW numbers, and will probably be above them in a few weeks with the way sales tanked last year



Rumors indicate that it is planning on following the first approach, sticking a new, motion-sensitive controller onto an existing console. Our perspective is that this is the worst of the three options.

Xbox almost tied with PS3, the gap is only getting bigger.

Will soon be pointing at the 360 in Japan.

The gap will not be getting bigger, especially once Japan figures come in.

Um, yeah but MS isn't supply constrained.. With them it's just a matter of lack of demand.

It is supply constrained several pieces of evidence have already been submitted, until the new ps3 scu is available expect the same amount of ps3's to come in, because they lose lots of $$ on every ps3 sold in the us, wheras they make money in europe, sony are now trying to make a profit you know this is their new stratedgy, I am surprised CGI said what he did normally he sits on neutral ground

Gotta love Sony fans.. If PS3 sales aren't doing so hot, it must be supply constrained! Are people still going to be using this excuse in August?

Let's ignore the fact that both models have been readily available on amazon for several weeks now..

I think some people just refuse to believe that the post pricecut+slimline boost would ever decline back down to earth.
