I wonder if people are waiting for E3 in hopes of a Xbox 360 Slim, or whatever it will be called, will be annouced? Didn't the sells for the PS3 slow down once there was a rumor of a slim version coming out?

Maybe the hardcore ppl that really follow consoles, but the general public rly hasnt heard about the slim yet.

I Hate the fact that all these pillows are contaminated by retard!!

For the 360 to be sub 80k, That would mean that it has to sell less than 4k in Japan (very likely) and roughly 40k in the US (skeptical). Last week, the 360 sold a little more than 50k in the US. With Alan Wake and Red Dead Redemption just released, expecting a 10k drop is quite unrealistic.

If we are talking about the week ending 15th May, then it should stay roughly at the same sales or slightly under of previous week, while AW launch could give XB a boost in USA the week after (the current one, that VGC will chart next week).

would that really matter? Isn't the 360 already cheaper than the ps3?

The Arcade model is cheaper but the Elite is the same price, except for the 250gb PS3 slim that is $50 higher.  I'm just wondering if gamers are waiting for a 360 Slim/Natal Bundle possibly.  I don't know but I think, if I recall correctly, that the PS3 sales slowed because of the Slim rumor and then annoucement.

PS3 sales slowed down after the Slim was officially announced and advertised. The 360 slim as of now is a rumour that the general public have no clue exist's. Us forum goer's have heard the rumour, some guy's over Live may have heard the rumour, but everyone else is ignorant of any future Slim release until it's announced and advertised. The 360's just losing momentum in a slow part of the year, the consoles been out for a while and I'm sure Microsoft will boost the hardware back up in the second half of the year with a slim model, price cut, Natal etc.

Ok this makes sense to me thanks :).

Without Japan it cleared 80k.

/thread

It will drop below 80k this year for sure, not for a couple more weeks though.

It's not really saying much on the state of the 360 though, when the PS3 falls below 100k and the Wii 150k, again, doesn't mean anything. It's just the summer ...

looks like it should be sub 90k this week

90k really is abysmal though even for this time of year
