I know FFXIII took just over a year to port and that's exactly my point. Most developers learn from their mistakes; square knows they made mistakes. With this in mind, one would assume they would try things slightly different.

"Exclusive:Which entails a POSSIBILITY of using the PS3's power and potential. It is proven fact that MP games can't do this and PS3 owners like to see their console pushed to the limits. "
The thing about this is that japanese developers tend to be less vocal about their game engines. However, one thing we can be sure of is that most Square games are and will be developed with Crystal Tools. Crystal tools is a multiplatform engine. Of course it's possible to have modified versions of an engine, but as you said multiplatform games seldom "take advantage" of the multiple consoles they're on. This is debatable of course since games like GTA4(so I've heard) and Crysis 2 have had seperate development teams.

You are right, Crystal Tools is a Multiplatform Engine but remember it started out as a Engine that could easily Port PC to PS3 engine. That was the reason for it's creation in the first place. Unreal is a Multiplatform Engine but it works best with PC games and by default 360 because they are so similar, this is evident by all the broken PS3 ports of Unreal games. And its Sony also helps any developer needing assistance with their console which only baffles me even further why developers are so scared of the PS3.
The biggest thing that would not be able to be replicaded is BluRay obviously. No matter how many discs FFXIII has, it can be done with less with bluray and that only makes me think "how much bigger/better could this game have been?" I'm waiting to see an PRG so exspansive and epic in scale that it pushes to multiple BR discs. As long as MS keeps their thumb down on Sony, holding them back at every turn in proving the worth of their hardware this will never happened. This, as a gamer, offends me....
