Forums - Nintendo - Dementium III for 3DS "confirmed"

I was just reading a Nintendoeverything interview with Renegade Kid, there's 2 curious statements from the developer that leads me to think that a possible Dementium III will land on the 3DS!

"NE: It may be premature to ask, but could Dementium III happen?

JW: We own the Dementium IP, so we have a lot of say on whether Dementium III will happen. I think it will. If we have to, we’ll fund it ourselves. It probably won’t be on the DS though."

"NE: How do you feel about the 3DS? What sort of features would you like to see in the system?

JW: I am very excited about the 3DS. From the rumors I’ve heard the 3DS is a really fancy DSi with higher res screens, an accelerometer, camera(s), analog stick(s), and 3D of course. The graphical capabilities will most likely be on a par with the GameCube / Wii, which is very exciting. Can you imagine how awesome Dementium III would look in the 3DS? Man, that would be sweet!"

Renegade Kid is one of my favourite DS developers, since they can push unbelievable smooth graphics on that hardware. Not to talk about the FPS controls, which are by far the best ones on the DS. I pretty much see them making a wonderful job on the 3DS.

On a note apart, I've bought both Dementium and Moon, being the last a really nice intense game. You should check on Dementium II if you have a DS and like FPS's on the system.

Around the Network

I tried Dementium I and didn't like it, just not my type of game... the graphics were really very, very good though, for DS. I can only imagine what grand stuff they could do on more powerful hardware!

Cheebee, thing is, Renegade Kid was developing the engine at the same time as producing Demetium I.

The game suffers from the same syndrome as The Conduit: Rush. I agree with you that the game could be alot better.

I think you should give Moon a try, you may find it cheap nowadays and it really shows what the DS can do and it has tight controls along with a nice single player.

Dementium II shall be pretty good. All of us DS owners should give it a spin.
