Who's party game is going to be better

Move Party (Sony/PS3) 11 25.00%

Wii Party (Nintendo/Wii) 33 75.00%

Total:44

Alright long ago in a time not to far away the party genre got kicked off when Nintendo unleashed MarioParty. Since MarioParties kick off Sonic Shuffle was released then Crash had a party title then there was the release of Fusion Frenzy. With all these party games MarioParty seemed to continue dominance in Nintendo's favour. MarioParty has seen 8 titles released each breaking the million mark easily.

However its been a few years since the last MarioParty and no other big Party game has been released. Until now with Sony's rip-off controller, Sony seems interested in joining the frey and releasing its first real party game called Move Party, now its unclear whether this game will be in the same vain as Mario Party but it is the first big party title from Sony.

Move Party

But its almost E3 and Nintendo just announced they too have a party title on the way and it is not MarioParty 9. The new title is using the Wii branding and the techdemo-esque Wii IP. Little is known about this title except the name WiiParty. Its been confirmed that you will be using your Mii's. A few screenshots have been unvieled that show the game in action. We can assume we will see way more at this years E3.

Wii Party

So which title are you cheering for, which will you purchase? Are you gonna Move to the beat or kick some series Mii butt?

I'm intrigued more by Wii Party.

Each game in the "Wii" series (except wii music.. haven't played it) has given me at least a bit of entertainment, so I'm hoping Wii Party will do the same ^_^.

Move party doesn't stand a chance for a Wii series game. Even if it is good. Or if both are total crap.

The mainstream is already washed by the Wii series, just look at the ridiculously "high" sales for Wii Music despite the fact that it is a crap musical game.

Wii party easily, it will be more accesible, it will sell lot more, as bamboleo said it will be bought by the load of casual buyers who are fan of the Wii _____ series.

Wii Party because if it's anything like Mario Party it makes it instantly better. Also I expect Wii Part is going to be a bright colourful game whereas Move Party will be dark and dull judging from the videos.

Well with Pachter saying Move is the new WiiHD and Sony trumpeting Move Party as a big title this fall I can't wait to see the two actually clash. I suspect that Wiiparty will kick Sony Move's butt. But then again I am a tad interested in seeing what Sony actually has in store and just how much they will rip off existing party titles.

Quality-wise: maybe, Move Party, but unlikely
Sales-wise: Wii Party, with 9000:1 ratio.
