Forums - Gaming - 30% of gamers don’t pay for games!

Actally... I was expecting the number to be much higher.

"I don't understand how someone could like Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky, but not like Twilight!!!"

"Last book I read was Brokeback Mountain, I just don't have the patience for them unless it's softcore porn."

"If you cant stand the sound of your own voice than dont become a singer !!!!!"

Sounds strangely negative considering they end the article by advertising their own free games...

I am extremely hesitant to pay for a game I haven't had the opportunity to try in some way.

Mainly this stems from being burned in the past from over hyped games with over scored reviews.

Lol... demos and lite versions? These guys are easy to please.

Not surprising, surprised it isn't higher actually.

Women are probably the worst 'offenders' all the women in my office play online games for free, I doubt any of them have ever purchased one. My daughter has a Wii, and a DS but has never purchased a game for either (although she occasionally asks for one for a birthday or such). I know a lot of other women/girls fall into this catagory too, be it iphone/ipod, facebook, Popcap, flash, free games, or owning Wiis/DS but not buying games (by/for themselves).

And then there's pirating...

Collectively us gamers as whole are paying more for games than we should.
