I watch it over and over again, but all I can ever see is orange shorts and a mustache.

Yes they very effective but more so for the PS3 since it's been selling more than the 360 in the past months except in the USA for some reason.

Btw I love camping.

I think their pretty good ads and somewhat effective. They show a positive face to Sony who, during the beginning stages of the console wars, had many negatives thrown at them. Giving themselves a better and positive look can and probably has opened them to a larger market.

^^LOL god no!!

all he was saying though (i think, and i agree) was that the ads are funny, the ads capture your attention and the ads are effective at getting the ps3 name out there and getting a positive face on the ps3.

but in terms of making a big push to turn some of their star franchises into big sellers, this is not the most effective commercial to be using and they should have commercials devoted to the games. (so that the games take less of a backseat)

all i know is when i saw the bioshock commercial. i hadda have it. none of the ps3 commercials have rly done that. which is why i believe they might be less effective at capturing someone new to the franchise than a commercial devoted to the game alone would be.
