FF XIII gameplay = the CGI you saw.
Predictions:
-Boring, monotonous combat system
-Grinding
-Spiky-haired emo kid as a protagonist
-All of the other NPCs save maybe one or two will be annoying in some fashion or another
-Story will be a bunch of mystical and/or political babble that probably sounded better in Japanese
-People will still go ga-ga over it anyway for some unfathomable reason

am i the only one here who loved the FFXI and FFXII battle systems... I prefer to be able to control only one of my characters in real time battles while the AI takes control of the others. It's more realistic.
They're keeping the FF12 battle system. That's a let down. I don't mind the battle system, but it's not great.
Any clue what FF13 Versus battle system will be like? That wasn't the action RPG like fighter game was it?
ATB sounds like it's suggesting it'll be like Hogishami Ruining blue earth and other startegy games where each action takes a part of of ATB instead of the whole bar though I may be wrong on that. That's a plus from 12.
Online elements sound cool.
The rest... eh they'll have to win me over.
how many FF games in the main series had an emo character as the main protagonist? just FFVIII comes to mind...

The KH2 battle system was great, the camera was peferct. Just a little too easy.
Final Fantasy XIII will be GODLY. You can take that to the bank. The best game on the system by an infinite mile.

I liked it. It's just... in 12 it felt like an MMORPG without the people.. which made it feel kinda empty. Which is weird... because whenever I play MMORPGs I always end up soloing everything unless someone I knew was on.
What they should really do is add a Co-op mode. That would make it a day one purchase for me. Well if I have a PS3 when it comes out day 1.

well the battle system is made to make it fell like a single player MMO.
FFvXIII is the brawler KH style game (at least from what rumors seem)
