Hey guys, hoping someone could help me out.  I'm trying to download/play portal on Steam with my Mac, but I'm not quite sure on how to do it.  I created an account on steam and have tried to download portal, but it just keeps on redownloading steam again  (it seems that way).  I have a brand new Mac 27" model that came out in Nov so I'm all good with the specs and such.  Any advice?  thanks in advance guys.

Try going to the Steam store and search for Portal (though it should be on the main page).

Well, I'm not quite sure then as I already have Portal. Are you doing it through your browser or through Steam?

Im pretty sure through Steam...it says the servers are busy and to try back in a few minutes

I just got portal (windows btw) but the download hung on 99% for about 20 mins

After the 24th, it'd be interesting if Valve would release how many Steam accounts downloaded Portal.

I have a question.

Since many games have a dual license between the mac and windows platforms, what if I bought a game before steam on the mac was released?

Is this dual license retrospective? Eg, I bought Machinarium like a month back and now if you buy it you get access to the mac versiona swell. Does that include me aswell even though I bought it before the update or am I stuck with just the windows version?
