Fire Emblem. It's challenging, but straight-forward. It's also never unfair.

It happens to be my favorite franchise outside of Zelda. If you have a DS, get Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. The one on the GBA is also really good. Haven't played the Wii version, but I imagine that it's just as good.

play metroid but the 2ds (real ones) and start with zero mission
its easier than super metroid and its a remake of the original

fire emblem its really good but maybe too hard for you

and if you really want a good franchise and fun too
play kirby (ex superstar,crystal shards and squeak squad)

theres dk country too and starfox but u really gotta love fox to play the gc ones
since they're not that good

but I really think you should play kirby or 2ds metroid



Nintendo made me a gamer so I'd be stupid to ever try to forget that                                             like so many people nowadays

Nah Fire Emblem won't be hard for him, plus there's an easy mode too. Trust me Sound Of Rain you'll love Fire Emblem.
