I have a Wii already, so there is noway I'd spend that much money on Move, and I'd say the same about Natal if i still had a 360.

The arcade is not an addon, and you guys are just hoping it's cheap, based on MS pricing, their addons are usually very expensive as I noted. |
I agree that Natal won't be coming cheap but I don't think it will come in over $100 either. Microsoft does not sell accessories cheap and they will not be losing money on hardware (I don't expect Sony to sell Move at a loss either). Not knowing what the cost to produce Natal is I figure an $80-$90 price tag with a tech demo disc (Something like Wii Play). Gamers have shown they are willing to pay for games with different controllers (Guitar Hero, Wii Fit, Rock Band), so neither Sony nor Microsoft need to give their tech away. They just need to make it so the consumer can see value.
Not bad I'm sure there will be a bundle, with everything you need. If that bundle is over $100 then that'd be bad.
No one's going to buy the camera by itself. I bought Eyepet for $30(NZD) less than a normal new release game and it came with the PSEye. So PSEye isn't as much of a cost impediment as people like to make out.
I expect the Nav controller to be el-cheapo too. It's 1/4 of a DS3 with no motion sensing, (possibly?) no force feedback, one analog stick and 2 shoulder buttons. Should retail in the US for only $15 if Sony are smart and they'll still make a small profit on it. Make it AAA or AA battery powered instead of rechargeable battery and it's cheaper still. Nav should retail for much less than the Wii Nunchuck, it has less functionality so it damn well should.
I think a Move+Nav+PSEye+Game bundle is definitely possible for between $90-110 (USD) depending on the game ($110 for Socom, $90 for some casual minigame title / Eyepet / Eyepet 2). Translate that to my money (exchange rate, and the fact that things are more expensive than a simple exhange rate conversion) and a similar bundle here would be ~$200 (NZD) probably aim it at $185-200 depending on game.
More expensive bundle would be 2xMove+PSEye+game. The problem Sony faces is if you want to set up for full functionality for 2 players:
PSEye+2 x Nav+4 x Move. It's those 4 Move controllers to play a 2 player coop/competitive dual wielding game that puts the expense a bit out of reach.
Also not forgetting that DS3 can sub for the Nav if you want to save the cost of the cheapest part of the whole set up.
I hope there's a reasonably priced game bundle that's 2xMove + game. Because that's all I need to achieve full SP functionality and 50% 2-player functionality, which is good enough for me for starters. I'll eventually get 2 Navs, and may one day acquire 2 more Moves that will be over a relatively long timeframe.
This is all predicated on Sony coming out with games that we really want to play of course. The current offering is mildly interesting, but not must have. So at the moment Move isn't a 2010 purchase for me.

... So you're saying it's too complicated? Sure.
How is a sensor bar, controller and nunchuck attachement not the equivalent of a camera, conroller and navtroller?
>_> I suppose people will be negative nancies if they get the hankering to do so.... I can't believe we have such alarmist posters on this site.

I agree, and if anything they will make it compatible with the next Xbox. I really dont think they will have a second gen Natal ready in time for the next Xbox so Natal will be expensive but it will most likly cross over to the next gen in its current form.
OT:
One Move controller for $60 is too high, if they give me a Move controller and the Navi controller for $60 then ok, but not stand alone. $60 is just too high for people that already own the camera, like myslef, and i dont need the bundle because i already own the camera so stantd alone is way too high for me, not at $60 a pop. Most will pass on that price easily.
If that's the pricing then here in Australia it's gonna be $100...
I'd rather buy a new AAA game than pay for that.
It's not like I'm gonna be playing SOCOM 4 with Move anyway.
But if there are a number or software that interest me greatly and if the Move is truly accurate and precise, then I shall consider it. Until then, I am yet to be convinced...
Also shouldn't Sony have realise not to sell things at a high price when launching a new product?!! Remember PS3 Launch? PSP Go Launch?!! If they're truly serious about this and want Wii Owners to 'graduate' to the Move and want both Hardcore and Casual Gamers to enjoy, then they must sell this at a low price. MOST IMPORTANT!!!

It costs $54.99 (without tax) PER DualShock 3 controller, no body complains about that? So if you want to play with your friends/siblings, and you wanted to buy two controllers and a game. It would cost you ~$120, MINUS the game. Did the word "bundling" ever come across your mind when you made that post? |
I simply implied that this is a tad expensive and it is.

My 60gig PS3 came with a PS3 remote (Yes I complained that I had to pay $599.99 for it), and last I checked I did not have to buy another one so I can play some games, nor do I remember holding two controllers in my hand. I did complain tho, after I bought another Six Axis; then a few days later news of the DS3 were coming out, and I wasn't the only one, so ya people did complain. Also two $54.99 DL3 = $109.98 not $120.00.
I have a camera, when I bought Eye of Judgement, but regardless, your going to tell me that $ony is going to bundle as follows:
The bundle will most liky include:
Meaning I will still have to pay $59.99 for another Glow Ball.
Now what about two player games? then I have to buy 4 Glow Ball Remotes?

You completely ignored what I said about buying multiple controllers.
I said (~)$120 which means approximate.
Why would you EXPECT it to be cheaper anyways? We don't live in the time where things come around so cheap anymore, ESPESCIALLY in the gaming industry, where you're paying $60+ tax for a game.
If you think over $100 is "expensive" then you've got another thing coming..
Again, I couldn't care if it was $60, it's like buying a regular controller.
people.... the Navigation Controller is not necessary! you can use the DS3 and it'll be the same...
AND! the bundle will have:
Move Controller + Eye + Game = Under $100
We still don't know if most of the 2 Move games will be used with the DS3....
imo.. the bundle it's awesome and it justifies the price, i'm getting all i need to play Move Games and a PSEye, which could be used for a lot of things.
