i dont think either GT or MGS4 will break halo 3's opening week record. but out of those two i think GT has a better shot at beating it, slim chance though. In the long run, i don't think MGS4 will beat H3 in terms of sales. GT on the other hand has a good chance of beating H3 in sales in the long run. The only title that i can think of that may beat H3's launch is GTA4 since the GTA series is a beast and its coming out on 2 systems at the same time. However i think only if u combine both the ps3 and 360's sales of GTA4 will it beat H3. Alone i dont think either system can beat it.

Those are two different things. PS3 has all tools to sell better than X360 in 2008 and I think it will. I also agree most Sony supporters expect PS3 to outsell X360 in 2008 but you try to put it in the wrong way. You've created this topic to flame and for this alone you should get at least a warning. If you believe X is secure and will sell more in 2008 good for you. Don't try to put non existing sentences in our mouths only to joke about it though.

Oh when did I say Xbox 360 is secure? I created this post as a parody to the other posts. If you can't understand the parody, don't bother posting.

Xbox 360 was around 12 million when Halo 3 released. PS3 should be over 8 mil at the end of this year. MGS4 is going to be released in second quarter of 2008 (acording to wiki, this of course may change in future). This means PS3 will have 13-26 weeks in 2008 before MGS4 releases, let's assume it's 20 weeks. So if PS3 will be selling around 150k per week in first 20 weeks of 2008 it will be at more than 11 million when MGS launches. It's close to Xbox 360 number when Halo 3 launched. So the userbase probably won't be as big (of course I may be wrong and 150k per week may be to high but if GTA won't be deleayed that 150k may be even to low).

Hovewer I think that what Halo 3 did on its userbase was really amazing and will be really hard to do again.
