if 360 arcade slim $149 has huge impact then PS3 120gb will be $249.Only if arcade price cut has an impact.

 

PS3 120gb Move bundle at $299 is certain

 

With removal of DS3 and inserting Move,navigation,eye,game will be possible to be included in $299 bundle.They could even break even with this bundle.If not then $20 LOSS AT MAX.

 

Wii $149 only if PS3 and 360 are crushing it.

 

and no chance of elite being at $199,$249 will be the price.They could add a 250gb HDD to $249 alite

Do you really think Sony would admit to having a price cut before the price cut is about to happen? That would kill of sales until the price drop officially happens.

lol................thats what i and a couple of others have trying to tell this guy in 2-3 of the other threads about this discussion.

 

But everytime he says because sony said it they will not cut it.and he just doesn't seem to understand the thing

You aren't honestly taking a Sony representative's word on not having a price cut this year seriously, are you?

And even if the representative did know that there were no plans for a price cut, plans can quickly change. I'm fairly certain that Sony wasn't planning on dropping the price of the PS3 to $400 less than a year after it was released at $600.

they just dropped the price of the wii late last year, now they bundled WSR and the black wii is out now. I really don't see a price cut for wii, $200 is plenty cheap, when christmas comes around it's gonna sell huge numbers anyway. 360 is gonna get one, it's due, and Sony could drop the price if they are willing to dip back into the red a little bit.

Wii : price cut to $149 maybe

PS3: Maybe it depends on how the new x360 fares, Sony may do a small price cut or just add extra things to each ps bundle to try and reduce any kind of negative effect that a x360 price cut can have on ps3 sales. Minimum price $249 or $299 with ps move:):)

x360: $199 Elite Slim, $300 with Natal+Richochet(they will charge you for the game as well because they love their $$ too much)

there is noways they will lower the HDD.

A 60gb decrease from 120gb will make very very little difference in the manufacture cost of PS3.

 

they can release a PS3 120gb at $249 without loss too.

 

They are already making profit on $299 PS3,plus 32nm Cell is incoming.Bluray prices decreasing.Other costs decreasing.

Think it is obvious a 360 cut is imminent. But we are only 6 months from the last ps3 cut so have to say that won't happen. I think they will do a move bundle.

I think Nintendo will get the aproach "wait and see"

Because Slim 360 + Natal and PS3 + Move, are 2 systems that won't sell for less than 250€ for sure. And Nintendo already "fought" in those conditions, with only 50€ difference.


Or maybe it becomes affordable to them to drop the price to 170, because the 3DS launch will move serious profit???
