Forums - Gaming - EA Sports Locks Out Multiplayer Modes On Used Sales

Won't this only depress the value of used EA games? Making them even cheaper to buy used?

This probably depends on just how much offline gaming out number online gaming for a game.

Get used to more software companies doing this. Every retail company out there wants in on the used game biz. 7/11 recently announced they would sell used games.

Software developers don't wait to pay for all this server bandwidth for people that didn't contribute any money to their company directly.

I don't have a problem with it myself. It isn't that hard to find great prices on new games. Amazon usually offers $20 preorder gift cards. Or you can just wait a couple months for prices to drop. Cheapassgamer.com is a great resource for that.

Most anticipated games of 2011:

Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I guess that confirms a recent theory I heard.

Pachter really is in the pocket of the big publishers.

He has his own segment on Gametrailers, which is owned by MTV who owns Harmonix and they publish Rock Band through EA!

My god!
