Wii sold the most software for Capcom with fewer titles.

Wii is doomed.

Seems a bit high to me ...

I'd say up until this year, Capcom DS support was terrible.  Seriously, they must be like the only Japanese company who gave DS worse support than they gave GBA? :/

See how they consider the 360 and PS3 as one? The PS3 and the 360 is the same for them because the game is the exact same on both platforms.

They only do that with day-and-date releases, Lost Planet 1 for example, isn't (360 and PS3 are counted separate, as is PC) while the Colonies release was counted as 360/PC.  Kinda sucks though, I'd like to know the exact platform breakdowns on stuff like RE5, SF4, DMC4, etc...

So this is the second time that Capcom has publicly credited Monster Hunter 3 as being a great success...

Just sayin'.

It'll probably be credited again next IR report when it blows past Capcom's meager western expectations.

1.6 million games, RIP Wii? At least that's what Capcom believes. Looks like it won't be seeing any new big game this year as MH3 will manage 600-700k probably in the west, Sengoku Basara 3 will sell about 300k in all territories plus the legs of older titles, would probably mean that out of those 1.6 million sales they expect, 1 - 1.4 million will come from MH3, Sengoku Basara 3 and other older titles. So the new game(s) they will release for the Wii will be little sellers. Probably another rails RE (I doubt it) or a variety of older RE ports coupled with a Moto GP.

They are already commited to the HD platforms, looks like Wii is getting the last breath of support. Also, this confirms that there will be no MH3G this year.

Capcom already projected just 500k for MH3 in the west. 300k for Basara 3 Wii sounds about right. That leaves 800k for other new releases and catalogue sales... RE4 Wii alone for example moved an additional 200k this past year.

New releases then will probably account for 600k or so. They said 6 titles for FY 2011, and that doesn't mean 6 new titles, but titles that will have shipments. So include MHTri, SB3, RE4 and don't know what else. Say there are 3 new titles released, 600k among those 3 titles looks pretty weak IMO, which means they are probably multiplat games like MotoGP, ports like RE archives or Okami or a small new IP like Spyborgs/We Love Golf.

I'm really doubting now that MH3G will ever see a release.
