Well, then you must have a strange definition of trolling. I'd say more like 30-40%. And when the PS3/360 hit the $199 mark it's RIP Wii.

We will see an increase of hardware sales for the PS3 in Japan when GT5 Prolouge comes out (not as much as DW6, but it will be significant).
2008 WILL be better for the PS3 just because they will have a gaming lineup that can compete with both the 360 and Wii.
Didja get that thing I sentcha?
The strength of the Wii sales is in little kids and girls. The 360 or ps3 doesnt appeal to them at all. Its only as much of a fad as much as the Nintendo DS is. The day PSP outsells it is the day PS3 will kill the Wii

I don't think you can compare the handheld market to the console market. Nintendo have always dominated the HH market. On the other hand, they lost the last two console wars to Sony, and badly.
I think PS3 will have an easier time with a much better game lineup next year. However to get into the casual market they must go below the U$ 250 range.

Even with LittleBigPlanet, the casual consumer has to buy the console in order to play it. You make a good point there.

Considering 360 sales will be around 5000 in Japan, PS3 only needs 50-60,000 sales. So yes, it will be enough. |
Preliminary VG Chartz numbers estimate 30-45k. That's not 50-60k.
I would love to be wrong.

And where exactly do you see these "preliminary" numbers at? And what if ioi undertracked PS3 sales like he did last week? We already know he's admitted to padding the 360 numbers above what the NPD has. Either way, the 360 and PS3 are within this site's margin of error that it could go any direction.
And in 2008, with all sorts of great games coming out, it will pick up sales. I know about 15 friends of mine who do not currently have a PS3 will buy one the second that Socom Confrontation comes out. A few of them are debating on getting one sooner just for COD4 and they don't have any next gen console yet. The stumbling block for them is not the price, just the games that are out.
Plenty of good games will come out in 2008, and there may be a new hit with a new IP that may not have been envisioned by those here.
My pokemon brings all the nerds to the yard. And they're like, "You wanna trade cards?" Damn right, I wanna trade cards. I'll trade this, but not my charizard.
I always leave out SOCOM for some reason. When does that game come out?
