Boston Tea Party?

Offering a cognizant argument fo an unpopular side almost always nets you a better grade in English.
By asking whether or not terrorism can be justified, this essay topic is already placing "freedom fighting" under terrorism, and youv'e seen a lot of media where that's used. The Rebel Alliance are basically terrorists. So is V from V for Vendetta (book and movie). The French underground resistance during Nazi occupation in World War 2? That'd qualify too! Try telling me that shit wasn't justified.
Well it all depends on how you define terrorism. Also, is the teacher the type to fail people who disagree?

What State do you live in? I mean, as long as it's a fairly democratic one... even if it isn't. Chances are it will get you a higher grade for less effort. Since most English teachers are espiecally liberal.
Plus your like... 14 right? I don't think people will think you are a terrorist unless you are in a VERY rightwing state and are of Middle Eastern origin... and even then you'd have to catch a particularly dumb teacher for that.
I know I framed most of my papers based on what my teachers wanted... lets you do less work that way. Had one class I did almost no work in, just because I could impress the guy by using new technology in the reports. Like Powerpoint and crap... hah. Well it was new for 7th graders anyway.

Fair enough. PA could be pretty tricky anyway. Full of Union Democrats.

I'd still rather not take the opposite side when my topic is terrorism. Maybe for another topic that wouldn't make me seem like a terrorist :P I'll add in the freedom fighters thing thugh, that's probably the closest I'll get to saying terrorism can be justified, but Ill still say that overall it isn't. |
All right, just saying: it'd be a better essay.

This.
Or the terrorist acts commited by blacks during the civil rights movement.
Never could understand why terrorists think that killing innocent people will somehow get their demands met. While the reasons terrorists are angry may be sound, the methods they use are simply terrible.
Kinda reminds me of the beggining of Final Fantasy VII when Avalanche destroys the Macko generator. They wanted to save their planet, which was a good thing, but they didn't care that their methods implied killing innocent people
It worked in Algeria.

Blair, Bush, Brown and Obama are essentially terrorists as well. There conquest is deemed to be justified however because it will help to protect the involved nations.
That would be imperialism, not terrorism.

"Why do they call it the xbox 360? Because when you see it, you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away"
Here's a simple example:
South Park - Cartoon Wars
The muslims will bomb America if Family Guy is shown! Cartman is going to use terrorism to make the episode not be shown and save america from terrorism. So with the terrorism, he saves us from the terrorism of the terrorists.
The point is Family Guy is a terrible show and only terrorism can save us from it.
Acting cereal now:
You honestly can't think of one moment where terrorism is justified?
OK, how's this...
A dictator is going insane and is murdering the population for being different. A lone voice of opposition uses terrorism by blowing up a building and threatening to do more incalculable destruction to the city if he is not removed from office. Obviously, the terrorism is justified.
'Course, this is basically V for Vendetta like Khuutra said. Watch that movie.
