Meh, they're all shit now, but the least shitty is Hitman now. Best will be Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, but those days are long gone...

Metal Gear Solid. For Me.

Although I find Splinter Cell more realistic (dunno if that's actually the case) I find MGS much more fun.

Metal Gear Solid is an easy choice for me.

Splinter Cell is has an alright storyline.
Hitman also had an alright stroyline.
Assassins Creed had a really good storyline but one of the most repetitive games ever. I have also never played a game this gen with worse controls than AC1/2 making AC a horrible game as far as the adventure aspect goes.

Nothing comes even close to the Creed.

Also you have forgot to name the Thief series, but then that was only on PC and quite dead too...
